Located right in the heart of the historical centre of Rome, the “Rione Monti”, is the most ancient quarter in the city. Despite its central location, Monti is a safe island of tranquility. You can wander through the “vicoletti”, or alleys, and admire architectural treasures without the traffic and noise found in much of Rome. The tiny streets of the neighborhood represent a cross section of architectural history. You might see a medieval palazzo built on ancient Roman foundations, with a third floor from the Renaissance and a 1950’s concrete roof terrace, a succession of styles that covers 2500 years of history.
Staying in this quarter means having the privilege to live and experience the atmosphere of the most appealing area of the capital and visit on foot its archeological monuments starting from the Roman Forum, to the Coliseum, to the Domus Aurea, to the Trajan markets. Other major sites of Rome such as Piazza Venezia, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna are all within walking distance.
