The Hopper I apartment is situated in the heart of the Borne which is the trendy and upbeat part of the Old Town in Barcelona. It lays right next to the Gothic quarter of Barcelona which is the oldest part of the city.
The Barrio Gótico contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. It is a maze of interconnecting dark streets linking with squares, and there are plenty of cafés and bars.
The apartment itself is close to Paseo del Born which is 50 meters to the amazing gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral, and the port. The apartment:Due to the restrictions decreed by the government, the common areas such as terraces will remain closed until further notice. This lovely apartment is one of several we can offer in the building. The photographs are a selection of the various units. The apartments may vary slightly in the layout or décor, but the features are the same. Your specific apartment will be allocated on arrival.
The Hopper I apartment building has been renovated to strict rules and guidelines which conserves the historic facade of the ancient gothic quarter. The Hopper I apartment itself is located on the first floor
of this lovely building and is one of five apartments in the same building, Hopper I, II, III, IV and V. There is no elevator
in this building, as is quite common in the old part of Barcelona.
From the living/dining area you can look down onto Calle Rec, a small street with some great stores and good restaurants. With an open plan layout and some distinct characteristics such as original curved ceilings which are typical in some of our lovely old Catalonian buildings, any guest can relax after a day of adventuring through the narrow cobbled stone lanes of the old town.
The bedroom accommodates a double bed and comes with wardrobe and drawers where the guest can store their belongings. The decor is again simple and elegant with a fresh and sharp look.
The living room area has a comfortable sofa bed, TV and stereo and is a nice area to sit back in and enjoy some quiet time before heading out to the hustle and bustle of Barcelona.
The kitchen is fully equipped with vitroceramic counter tops, and all the commonplace items like fridge, microwave-oven, pots, pans, coffee machine, fridge and so on. The bathroom comprises of a shower unit and is stylishly decorated with mosaic tiling.
All linens and towels are provided as well as an iron and ironing board.
The apartment is fitted with partial air-conditioning (hot/cold) in the living room.
Whether you are in Barcelona on business or on vacation, staying at this apartment will make it a memorable visit!PLEASE NOTE: this lovely, recently refurbished building is typical of the Borne area in Barcelona, as mentioned above there is NO elevator and the low and VERY narrow entrance to the building leads to a narrow and spiral staircase. This is not to say the entrance and staircase is not as nice and of the same high quality as the rest of the building.
The Hopper building comes with a great communal terrace which the guests are welcome to use during their visit...
