Are you looking for accommodation near Camp Nou? Although this area of Barcelona isn’t as well known as other parts of the city, it has many attractions and interesting places to visit away from the hustle and bustle. FC Barcelona’s Stadium is in the Les Corts neighbourhood, next to L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, which has the second largest population of any Catalan city after Barcelona.
Les Corts is a well-connected residential area with lots of services, parks and gardens. Once a separate town, it merged with Barcelona in the late 19th century. It is an ideal neighbourhood for renting a holiday apartment if you’re travelling with kids or want to get away from the hectic city centre.
Our apartments in Barcelona near Camp Nou are just the thing if you’re here on a sporting trip to watch a Barça match. At their facilities you can thrill to the football, basketball, hockey and futsal teams. Not to mention the Camp Nou Experience, an ideal tour for families. It includes a visit around the stadium and Barça Museum, where you can see all the trophies and other historical objects linked to this legendary team. You can even sit on their bench! Did you know that the Barça Museum is now one of the most popular museums in Spain?
The area around Camp Nou also boasts other interesting places, such as the Parc de Cervantes, famed for its collection of 11,000 rose bushes in 245 different varieties. Given the city’s mild climate, they are in flower almost all year round, but they are best seen in spring, when the New Rose Contest is held. Head over for a romantic moment or a colourful photo.
Another charming place if you have accommodation near Camp Nou is the Plaça de la Concòrdia, a lovely square for having a coffee or ice cream while admiring the 40-metre-high bell tower of the church of Santa Maria del Remei. You’ll get a real feel of this district just watching the world go by.
If you’re a history buff, you should stroll along Carrer Anglesola and Passatge de Tubella, with their detached houses with inner courtyards and gardens built in 1925 for workers in Les Corts and Sants. Don’t miss the Jardins de la Maternitat, a former hospital with noteworthy Modernista buildings.
Without a doubt, the most beautiful place if you have accommodation near Camp Nou is the Jardins del Palau de Pedralbes, the most elegant gardens in Barcelona. Laid out in romantic style with touches of English and French design, you can lose yourself and step back in time. You can also admire the majestic palace itself, albeit only from the outside, as it is closed to the public. In June and July, the gardens play host to the Festival Jardins de Pedralbes, with concerts by performers from all over the world.
If you plan to stay for a few days in the neighbourhood, from your accommodation near Camp Nou you can also visit the nearby Monestir de Pedralbes. It was founded in 1327 and its cloister is judged to be the biggest Gothic cloister in the world. Its chapel dedicated to Saint Michael boasts restored medieval paintings.
The area around Camp Nou is a university district with a young carefree feel. You’ll find plenty of things to do, including restaurants for all tastes and budgets, cafes, shops and a big bowling alley: Bowling Pedralbes. Although this isn’t the liveliest part of town at night, it has a fair number of bars and one of the city’s most famous nightclubs and concert halls: Sala Bikini.
