Ongeveer 1920 jaar geleden gebouwd en gebruikt voor de gladiatoren en openbare spektakels, wordt het Coloseum beschouwd als een architectuur en ingenieur wonder, en blijft het, het vaste bewijs van de grootheid van het Romeinse Imperium. Andere hoofdbezienswaardigheden in Rome zoals Piazza Venezia, de Trevi fontein, Piazza Navona, het Pantheon zijn te voet bereikbaar en alsook de glamoureuze winkelstraten als Via del Corso, Via Frattina en Via Condotti. Fabulously easy check in and out - able to book in early and leave late so made the most of our 5 days there.
