El Born is één van de trendy wijken in Barcelona en is de laatste jaren alleen maar meer zo geworden, een perfecte balans door de combinatie van historische schatten, cultuur en ´coole ´ dingen. Een buurt die wordt bezocht door de locals maar ook de toeristen zijn hier te vinden. Deze wijk heeft één van de hoogste huis prijzen in de stad…. In deze mooie buurt zijn vele leuke barretjes, cafés, restaurants en boetiekjes maar ook de bekende merken zijn vertegenwoordigd, bijvoorbeeld Custo. De wijk Born heeft een geweldige locatie, dichtbij de oude haven en het strand. Het is omgeven door vele andere interesante bezienswaardigheden zoals de Barrio Gotico, Barceloneta en Via Laietana. Het park Ciutadella is ook op een paar minuten lopen verwijderd, perfect voor een wandeling na een heerlijke lunch ergens in één van de restaurants in Born.
Eén van de bekendste bezienswaardigheid in deze buurt is de prachtige basiliek Santa Maria del Mar, waar tegenover gezellige terrassen zijn gelegen waar je heerlijk kan genieten van het levendige straatleven om je heen. Een andere plaats niet te missen is Paseo del Born, vol met gezellige barretjes waar ook het nachtleven een levendig karakter heeft. Niet ver van Paseo del Born is het Picasso museum gelegen. Born heeft haar eigen markt, Santa Catarina wat erg opvalt door haar gek gekleurd dak. Als laatst mag zeker het prachtige Palau de la Musica niet vergeten worden welke één van de meeste oogverblindende werken is van de moderne architectuur in Barcelona.

Extremely central. We could walk everywhere. The apartment was very comfortable and exactly like the photos. I will recommend both the apartment and Friendly Rentals to all my family and friends. Thank you for a fantastic time.Thank you for stopping the rain after our first night when there was a fantastic storm.
