The Area surrounding the Apartment;
This wonderful, luxury apartment is in the very heart of the city on Rambla Catalunya, one of Barcelona's grander avenue-like streets with great restaurants, shops and tapas bars, that starts at Plaza Cataluña and continues till it meets with la Diagonal.
This location will allow the guest to step out of the apartment building onto Plaza Cataluña; off of this Plaza the guest will find Las Ramblas, with all the colourful street performers and the wonderful Boqueria market, an absolute must for any visitor to Barcelona...
From the apartment a short 5 minute walk will have you in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and el Born; this very trendy area is one of Barcelona's oldest neighbourhoods. An intricate maze of plaças and squares all interconnected by narrow, medieval streets where you will find lots of trendy boutiques and great bars, cafés and restaurants. This is the area that fell within the medieval walls and, until 150 years ago, made up the entire city of Barcelona.
With bars, clubs and hundreds of restaurants right on the doorstep of the apartment, you do not need to go far to enjoy all that the old town of Barcelona has to offer.

The Apartment;
This beautiful apartment in an unbeatable location with high quality furnishings and original works of art is the ideal choice for visitors to Barcelona. The apartment faces the back of the building so is extremely quiet for it's central location.
The Bizet apartment has two bedrooms. The Master bedroom comes with a double bed, ample wardrobe space, flat screen TV and en suite bathroom complete with an elegant claw foot bath in a bathroom flooded with mediterranean sunlight. The second bedroom also comes complete with double bed, ample wardrobe space and a stylish en-suite bathroom with rich wood panelled shower. The fifth and sixth guests can access this bathroom from the dining area.
The living area of this lovely apartment is comfortable and stylish with a large sofa which converts into a sofa bed for the fifth and sixth guests. There is a TV and DVD for entertainment if you choose to have an evening in and the apartment comes complete with wi-fi internet. Leading from the living room is a small gallery area, perfect if you are here on business.
The kitchen/dining room comes fully equipped with all the mod cons that you would need to make your stay hassle free with coffee maker, juicer, microwave, toaster, etc... and the dining table can comfortably seat six guests.

Plaza Cataluña/Paseo de Gracia
Plaza Cataluña
Is het grootste plein van Barcelona, met haar 30.000 vierkante meter is het de derde grootste plein van Spanje. Een aantal van de meest belangrijke straten van Barcelona kruizen dit plein dat bekend staat om haar fontein en beelden. Tot bijna het midden van de negentiende eeuw was Plaça de Catalunya een normaal landelijk gebied buiten de stadsmuren.
Het was pas in 1858 dat de centrale regering in Madrid bevel gaf de verdedigingsmuren van Barcelona om te gooien. Daarnaast werd er ook goedkeuring gegeven voor de bouw buiten dit gebied. Er werd toen een openbare wedstrijd gehouden om een nieuwe wijk te ontwerpen. De eerste prijs werd toegekend aan het ontwerp van Rovira i Trias, maar de overheid koos uiteindelijk voor een veel moderner ontwerp met een gridstructuur die ontworpen is door Ildefonso Cerdá. Tot slot zijn de centrale overheid en de lokale overheid overeengekomen om een nieuw lokaal plan toe te voegen. Het ontwerp van de architect Puig i Cadafalch (auteur van het modernistische gebouw “Casa de les Punxes") heeft geleid tot de huidige majestueuze plein, ontstaan tussen 1925 en 1927.
Vandaag de dag is het ook een belangrijk verkeerspunt, dat toegankelijk is voor vele vervoersmiddelen zoals metro, bussen, taxi's, etc. Bussen vertrekken naar het vliegveld en tourbussen hebben ook hun voornaamste stoppen op Plaza Catalunya, recht tegenover het beroemde warenhuis El Corte Ingles.
Passeo de Gracia
Passeig the Gracia is een van de meest bekende straten in de stad en met een afstand van 1,5 kilometer van Plaza Catalunya en Las Ramblas. Paseo de Gracia staat bekend om haar vele exclusieve designer winkels; de meeste designer winkels per vierkante meter van heel Barcelona. Vanaf dit punt bevinden andere populaire plaatsen zoals de Gotische wijk en El Borne op een steenworp afstand.
Bezoekers die verblijven in dit gebied vinden uitstekend eten en de populaire markt La Boqueria op de Ramblas. Een must voor iedere bezoeker van Barcelona. Je kunt naar de Passeig de Gracia lopen met haar designer winkels en u kunt tevens genieten van een van de vele gebouwen van Gaudi, waaronder Casa Batlló en La Pedrera. Deze gebouwen zijn erkend als werelderfgoed door de UNESCO. Deze beroemde straat komt het dichtst bij Les Champs Elyses in Parijs, en dat in het centrum van de levendige hoofdstad van Catalonië. Het eerste stedelijk project dat leven gaf aan deze ongelooflijke straat werd gestart in 1821 door de beroemde architect Ramon Plana.
