The apartment is located in the Madrid of the Austrias (in the very historical centre), three hundred meters away from Puerta del sol (our km 0)

Two minutes walk from the emblematic Plaza mayor, meeting point for locals and visitors, as well as the stage of a multitude of artistic and popular events.

The Latina is close to “el Rastro”, the most famous flea market in Spain, and next to the “cava alta” and “cava baja” streets, indispensable for tasting our authentic best meals and wines, tapas included. Simply the perfect location for top gastronomy

Besides this, the apartment is surrounded by most of the museums ,theatres, cinemas, all emblematic monuments -the royal palace is barely five minutes walking- and settings where it is possible to easily enjoy Madrid’s rich culture.

This area is considered the most beautiful, it is centrally situated, surrounded by monuments and full of traditional flavour. The authentic atmosphere at anytime will allow you to fully enjoy your visit.

In spite of being located in this very lively area, the apartment Latina IX enjoys much tranquillity, located in a XVII century magnificent reformed palace.

The apartment

Latina IX is a luxurious 140m2 duplex full of charm and style. With modern furniture, original art works and a fantastic use of space, this beautifully presented apartment is ideal for families or groups of friends.
The building itself has been restored and the stairwell still shows the beautiful wide arch roof design. There are also wooden floors throughout the apartment, recently restored, sanded and varnished in dark mahogany.
The first floor has been designed as ´open-plan`, with kitchen, lounge and dining room all incorporated into one spacious area. The brand new, fully equipped, stainless steel kitchen looks out onto the lounge/dining room which has both a 6 seater dining table and 2 brand new leather sofas along with plasma TV, DVD and internet connection. On the same floor is the main, immaculately furnished bedroom with double bed, floor to ceiling windows, creative wall paper design and complete bathroom.
The second floor incorporates a double bedroom mimicking the same fresh and modern style of the main bedroom and an open loft style room that looks out over the entertaining area with 2 single beds. The guests on the second floor also have the use of a second bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
