Bright and cheerful 1 bedroom apartment with wonderful sea views:
Perfect for a couple with 2 children or 3 adults, this comfortable and relaxing one bedroom apartment is located in the old port area of Barcelona called Barceloneta. Newly renovated apartment with great seaviews and a short walk (30 seconds!!) from the front sliding windows onto the Barcelonetta beach. Centrally located next to the old town of Barcelona, this is a great choice for comfortable quarters for your visit to Barcelona.
The area surrounding the apartment:
The Sorolla apartment is ideally situated near the old port of Barcelona or Port Vell and not far from the gothic trendy area of El Born in Barcelona. This old port area at the bottom of Las Ramblas, was once a real eyesore with old factories and disused buildings, which has been transformed beyond recognition since the 1980's. Chic shopping, harbourside seafood treats, movies by the sea along with bars, discos and a world famous, and apparently Europes' biggest aquarium, have made this the perfect area for Barcelona's stopoff point to the Mediterranean. Also a 12 minute walk away and guests are treated to the trendy gothic El Born district with it's wonderful example of gothic architecture in the magnificant Santa Maria del Mar church.
The apartment:
The apartment is a cosy retreat from the bustling and busy city centre in a recently renovated building. One of the great features of this apartment is the 30 second walk till your toes are sinking into the sand of the Barceloneta beach and the seaview is such a treat no matter what time of the day. The bedroom has a two single beds that can be placed together to make a spacious double bed and opens out into the living room area. The living room contains a double pullout sofabed which is would comfortably sleep two children or one adult.
The kitchen has been newly installed and is fully equipped with all the commonplace items like washing machine, cooker, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, coffee machine, juicer, toaster etc., The bathroom comprises of a bath/shower unit, sink. The apartment is fitted with AC allowing the guest to be cool throughout the hot summer months and heating for the upcoming winter; guests can be entertained by the TV and CD Player/Stereo. All linens and towels are provided as well as an iron and ironing board.
The Sorlla is a wonderful spot for your visit to Barcelona in one of the oldest parts of Barcelona, the Sorolla is the way to go.
