The apartment is in a fully reformed historical building and has been very tastefully decorated in an elegant style, ensuring the comfort of the guest while at the same time creating a welcoming atmosphere. The area surrounding the apartment:

The Tantarantana apartment is situated in an area called the Borne which is the trendy and upbeat part of the Old Town in Barcelona. It lies right next to the Gothic quarter of Barcelona which is the oldest part of the city. It is a maze of interconnecting narrow streets linking lovely squares, and there are plenty of cafés, bars and designer boutiques. The apartment itself is close to Paseo del Born and you will find the amazing gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral the port and the city park all within easy walking distance.

The apartment:

Walking though the front door of this apartment you are welcomed by an expanse or real wood floor which makes the apartment warm and welcoming. In the large reception area you will find a sofa which can be converted into a double bed for the fifth and sixth guests and which can be separated from the room by a portable screen. There is ample cupboard/wardrobe space for your belongings. This area also houses the second bathroom which comes complete with shower, toilet and washbasin and a utility room where you will find the washing maching and dryer.

Moving along the hallway, you have an office area complete with telephone for receiving calls. There is wireless internet available throughout the apartment.

The living area is surrounded by large windows and there is a constant stream of mediterranean sunlight flooding into the apartment. One of these windows opens up onto a small balcony which looks out onto a quiet pedestrianised zone. The high ceilings with exposed beams maintain the feeling of space throughout the apartment. There is a large and comfortable sofa where you can sit back and relax and watch TV or a DVD. The apartment also has satellite TV channels so you can catch up on the news from home.

The dining area has a large glass table and 6 leather seats where guests can comfortably sit and enjoy a meal made from products bought at the nearby market.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod cons that you would expect to find in a modern apartment including coffee maker, toaster, microve, etc ensuring your stay is a hassle free one. There are 2 portable air-conditioning machines to cool the apartment througout the summer months.


The apartment has two double bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed and ample wardrobe space in each. Between the bedrooms is the main bathroom which is also spacious and comes complete with bath/shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin. Fresh linen and towels are available for use on arrival.

This apartment also has access to a communal roof terrace where guests can relax with a glass of wine after a long day sightseeing.
