The area surrounding the apartment:

The El Borne apartment is situated in the heart of the Borne, which is the trendy, upbeat part of the Old Town in Barcelona. It is situated beside the Gothic quarter of Barcelona and is the oldest part of the city and the site chosen by the Romans during the Augustus Empire (27 to 14 B.C.) to found a new colony. The Borne area contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. It is an enchanting labyrinth of streets linking with squares, where there are plenty of good bars, restaurants and lots of designer as well as artisan shops and boutiques to browse and wander around. There is also a large public park and zoo within two minutes' walk of the apartment where the spacious, verdant surroundings offers an antidote to the busy streets nearby.

The El Borne apartment has a very modern and unique look; it blends the old with the new, such as the exposed original wooden beams in the ceilings with the modern furniture and elements such as metal pipes and glossy, polished floor throughout, making this apartment a wonderful choice for any visitor to Barcelona.

El Borne is located on the second floor (real FOURTH floor) of an old and beautiful building with NO elevator.

There is a public car park within 30 metres from the apartment should the guest require to park a car.

Having been recently renovated the look is modern and very beautiful. The Borne apartment has two bedrooms, the main one has a double bed with an en suite bathroom and is very spacious; the ensuite bathroom consists of bath/shower unit and sink, the bath comes with jacuzzi style jets and is a real treat for the guest. The second bedroom has two single beds and also comes with an en suite bathroom, this bathroom comes with shower unit and sink. Both the bedrooms and the bathrooms are chic and modern in style. The apartment also has a courtesy bathroom which is funky and art deco in style, decorated with a bright yellow colour on the walls it is a fun feature of the apartment. The floor throughout the apartment has a polished and glossy look and adds to the sleek look of the apartment.

The living area of this apartment is welcoming and a great place to sit back and relax after trekking around Barcelona city. Here the guest can avail of the TV, DVD and the stereo. In this area you will also find two sofas, both of which are individual sofa beds where the fifth and sixth guest can sleep. One of the apartment's nicest features is the use of mosaic tiling which has been used in the living room to give a unique and distinct look.

The dining area and kitchen are in the same area. In the dining area you will find a large table and chairs for six guests where you can enjoy many a meal cooked in the open plan and modern kitchen.
