Prestigious 70 sq.m Venetian style apartment located in a fascinating 16th century building on the Grand Canal
Located in an ancient building in the historic centre of the Dorsoduro district, where the tourist routes intersect those of the local Venetians in perfect harmony, the Canal apartment is a refined and stylish apartment that can house a couple or a small family wishing to enjoy an exclusive accommodation in Venice.
The apartment:
The Canal apartment is located on the floor immediately above the ground level of an historic Venetian building with "porta d’acqua" on the Grand Canal (a door directly on to the canal, for water access, and accessible via water taxi) and is a typical Venetian-style accommodation, framed by splendid wooden ceilings and furnished in excellent taste with a knowing selection of quality period furniture.
The apartment welcomes guests into a graceful living-room furnished with a comfortable sofa bed (which turns into a double bed for the 3rd and 4th guest should the need arise), armchair, desk, chest of drawers and TV corner. The bedroom is welcoming and has a comfortable double bed and a built-in wardrobe to place your personal belongings in. The independent, modern and functional kitchen is equipped even for the most demanding cook and also has a table and chairs. The bathroom is simple and classic in style and has a bathtub.
The Canal apartment also allows guests, upon request, to visit the magnificent Italian-style garden and courtyard located on the west side of the building.
Please note that in the same building as the Canal we also have the Casanova apartment, allowing large groups to spend their holidays together.

Dorsoduro
The “sestiere” of Dorsoduro is the largest and one of the most picturesque district of Venice . It’s a quite lively and popular neighborhood, pleasant to be discovered on foot and it has been known as an artists’ haven. On the opposite side of the Accademia Bridge from San Marco, the district is bordered by Santa Croce, San Polo and Grand Canal. Good neighborhood restaurants, a charming gondola boatyard, the lively Campo Santa Margherita, and the sunny quay called le Zattere all add to the character and color that make this one of the city's most-visited areas. From Le Zattere promenade with Palazzo Giustinian and the Gesuati Church (with Tiepolo’s painting) people can enjoy an amazing view of the Giudecca island. In Dorsoduro district you can discover the Maritime Station and the convent of San Sebastian with Veronese’s frescoes, and the beautiful Ca’ Zenobio building. Other remarkable monuments are the Academy Palace, Gambara Palace, Stern Palace, Ca’ Dario, Ca’ Rezzonico,and “Palazzo Venier dei leoni” which houses the Peggy Guggenheim collection. Famous destinations for tourists are the Church of “Santa Maria della Salute” and the “Galleria dell'Accademia”, which displays beautiful masterpieces of Venetian painting from '300 to '700.
