Beautiful and bright apartment in a fully redone historic building located in a privileged area of the city's historic center and overlooking the Turia River. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 independent bathroom, an en-suite bathroom, and large private balconies in all the rooms.

The six Shackleston apartments are all located in the same building, and can be rented separately or altogether (the whole building). It can accommodates a total of 28 people. Please, contact directly the reservations team for a customized budget and possible discounted rates.

The area surrounding the apartment;

The Shackleston 2 apartment is located on a quiet street of old-time Valencia. There is a public bus stop near the apartment from where you shall be able to access all the newer areas of Valencia, like the City of Arts & Sciences, the City Hall Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) and the Valencia beaches.

The subway station is also walking-distance away, with direct connection to the international airport. A relaxing walk will get you to the heart of the historic center, where you shall find a wide range of stores, restaurants and entertainment, specially in the "Barrio del Carmen." Next to the green areas of the river.

The apartment;

The Shackleston 2 apartment is located on the first floor of a four-story fully redone building with elevator and can house up to 6 guests.

The choice of furniture, with unique decorative details, and the best lay-out for available space, make this large apartment a bright space full of harmony, with no need to renounce modern-day valuable fittings.

The foyer houses an African sculpture and a airy chest of drawers on which rests a silver-plated base floor lamp and will lead you to the apartments large kitchen, full of light thanks to a window. It is fully furnished in white and with flooring in real natural slate. It is equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator and all the small kitchen appliances necessary for our guests' comfort. It includes a dining area with a white lacquered table that seats 4. There is also a large independent laundry room with a washing machine, clothes rack and a window.

The hallway leads onto the Shackleston 2 apartment’s full bathroom, color coated in two tones of gray and with a enclosed bathtub. The horizontal ceramic bands design that frames the mirror and toilette area, gives it a dynamic and contemporary feel.

Next to the bathroom, there is a large bedroom with two single beds, which features a simple but elegant decor. The room has bedside table with an ivory-base lamp, custom-made tropical wood headboards, a mirror, a large wardrobe, a chair and wall-long window that allows for the Mediterranean light to flow in.

The lounge, in white and purple color tones, has a dining area for up to 6 guests preceded by an impressive Chippendale style showcase that matches the chairs' graceful design, with spiral curves and a beautiful wood and wrought iron table. Natural light coming in from the apartment's large balcony lights up the dining area and plays with the showcase's crystals producing unexpected reflections of color. The living room area, also with a private balcony, has a large velveteen sofa bed for 2, a grass-green color armchair, long coffee table on a Turkish carpet, additional coffee tables in glass and wrought iron, and TV and DVD set. Two large silver-leaf frame mirrors give amplitude and elegance to this living area.

A small hallway leads to the en-suite bedroom. This room produces a sense of discreet luxury with unexpected details like the wrought iron headboard. It has its own balcony, a double bed, two elegantly curved bedside tables and a silver-base foot lamp, men's valet and armchair. The bathroom is accessed from the walk-in closet. It is large, clad in chocolate and earth color tones that give space a dynamic feel, with details such as the sink set on wood with wrought iron base and silver dispensers.

The property is equipped with video intercom, air conditioning with cold/hot air mode, and central heating via ducts.

Aside from getting to know and visiting Valencia, the Shackleston 2 apartment gives you a unique opportunity to enjoy a stay in a delightfully harmonious accommodation and a space full of light.

Ciutat Vella/El Carmen

The historical centre of Valencia is comprised of El Carmen and the commercial city centre - Ciudad Vella.
Among the most important monuments are Plaza Redonda, Torres de quart, Portal de Valldigna and the Iglesia Del Carmen. One of the main features of El Carmen are the holes in the massive towers of the Torres De Quart from the cannonballs used in the time of Napoleon. The ancient winding streets of the Barrio del Carmen contain buildings dating back to Roman and Arabic times. The Cathedral, built between the 13th and 15th century, is primarily of Gothic style, but contains elements of Baroque and Romanesque architecture. Beside the Cathedral is the Gothic Basilica of the Virgin (Basílica De La Virgen De Los Desamparados). The 15th century Serrano and Quart towers are part of what was once the wall surrounding the city.
UNESCO has recognized the Late Gothic silk exchange (La Lonja de la Seda) as a World Heritage Site. The modernist Central Market (Mercado Central) is one of the largest in Europe. The main railway station, Estación Del Norte, is built in art deco style.
The area is full of young people and lively bars.  This lifestyle in contrast to the backdrop of old stone buildings and hidden courtyards, huge wooden doors with high door-knockers (to be reached from horseback) gives the Carmen a unique charm.

In the city centre, to the south of the Carmen, you will find all the international high street shops and most well known brand names. The largest square is the Plaça de l'Ajuntament, which contains the town hall (ajuntament), a cinema that shows classic movies (La Filmoteca), and many restaurants and bars.You cannot miss the majestic post office with paintings on the ceiling.
