Jerez de la frontera
Known worldwide for its eponymous wine, Jerez de la Frontera, like the city of Cadiz, has a history dating back to 3000 years ago. Located in the inside of the province, has an ideal temperature in summer and winter.
Equipped with all the facilities, just a few minutes away from the city is the international airport of Jerez. It also has a line of high-speed rail. Both connected with the main national and European cities.
The old town has many historical monuments. Walking along, we will find the monumental site of the Alcazar, with its mosque and Turkish bath, the baroque Cathedral and its Mudejar tower, the churches of San Miguel, Santiago, San Dionisio and San Mateo.
We can enjoy these wonders, stopping and eating some tapas and tasting a good sherry, in the traditional bars and restaurants.
Essential in Jerez, is the wine tourism. You can visit the vineyards, where you can learn the process, and also eat in their restaurants. The main wineries are: Gonzalez & Biass, Pedro Domecq, Williams&Humbert, Sanchez Romate, etc. ..
Birthplace of the flamenco, it is essential to visit the “tablaos” (flamenco shows), the Flamenco Museum of Jerez, or to go to the International Flamenco Festival, that takes place between February and March.
Overall, Jerez de la Frontera is a complete city for tourism, offering multiple activities, all of them interesting and fun.
