The Picasso apartment has been recently built (March 2004) and is located in the center of San Sebastian town; just a few steps will take you the the famous La Concha beach. It has beautiful views of San Sebastian bay and is only a 30 meters' walk from the beach. Also within minutes is the famous old town center, the Muesum San Telmo and the aquarium.

The area surrounding the apartment :

The Picasso apartment is ideally situated on a nice quiet pedestrian street right off the retail and commercial center of San Sebastian. To the left of the apartment is the Buen Pastor cathedral, and further along the old town and port. You are literally 100 meters from traditional Basque bars which serve the famous culinary pheonmenon of “pintxos” pronounced “pinchos”. The word is actually related to the English “pinch” (but has more cognates in other languages), and for a good reason. Pintxos are, rather than full dishes, just a pinch of this and a bit of that on a slice of bread to be had while drinking a "caña" or a "tinto".

In the Basque regions of Spain, especially San Sebastian where they where Pintxos originate, people in bars like to nibble on these little things made with a slice of toasted bread topped with mushrooms, cheese, salad, olives, tomatoes, spinach and/or whatever else you might have handy. Besides these gourmet treats, during your stay in this wonderful town you can amble along the coastal boardwalk that surrounds the bay.


The apartment:

The Picasso is a luxurious 40m2 apartment, newly built and totally refurnished. The entire building has been finished in high quality furnishings with a modern elevator newly installed. The entire apartments flooring has been completed in oak wood.

Upon entering the apartment guests feel the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere created by the modern furnishings; the apartment comes with air conditioning, TV, DVD, sound system and even your own building porter that greets you upon entering the building. The living room includes a sofa which converts into a bed when more than two guests are staying in the apartment.

The kitchen has been completed fitted with all the necessary utensils and domestic electric equipment that guests expect from a luxury apartment like fridge, oven, vitroceramic tops, washing machine, coffee machine, blender, toaster etc. Bed linens and towels are provided but beach towels would need to be brought by the guestes themselves.

The bathroom comes with a shower unit and is fresh and clean in look; fresh towels and paper are provided for your use upon arrival.
