Gros
One of the main attractions of the area of Gros is the beach of Zurriola, meeting point for surfers. The beach of Zurriola is the most open to the sea . There is a restrictedarea for bathers, and another one reserved for people who enjoy this sport.
Crossing the Kursaal Bridge, from the boulevard, we arrive to Gross Quarter. There we find the Palacio de Congresos and the Auditorium Kusaal, symbol of new architecture and new cultural centre of this city, designed by Rafael Moneo, and conceived as two rocksstranded in the sea. From here, the Paseo de la Zurriola borders the beach, ending in Punta del Mompas.
Considering that it is a district of San Sebastián, it is situated in the city centre, as you can reach the Old Part by crossing one of the two bridges that communicate Gros with the already named areas.
It is an area where you can shop, buy food or any other good.
In Gross you can taste one of the exquisite “pintxos”, traditional Basque dish. The bars in the Old Part of the city are the most famous, although in the last years many establishments in Gros have become significant competition. These delights in miniature, traditional or innovative, make bars irresistible.
Next to the apartment there are bus stops which will take you to any part of the city, even though going by foot around San Sebastián is surely a pleasant walk .
