The apartment:
Located on the 1st floor of an ancient building with NO elevator, the Marco Aurelio has been recently renovated in an elegant and contemporary style. The entire apartment is designed tastefully and is also characterized by its parquet wood flooring and exposed original beams.
This modern and perfectly organized space houses a comfortable double bed, a spacious wardrobe for guests’ belongings, a dining table with two chairs and an open kitchen which is fully equipped if you choose to cook at home the fruit and vegetables bought at the nearby outdoor market. Finally, a fresh and simple bathroom completes the apartment and includes a shower unit.
The apartment is provided with air conditioning/heating, nespresso, cable internet and Ipod dock station to guarantee its guests a high level of comfort. All linens and towels are provided.
The Marco Aurelio apartment is one of three apartments in this building; its sister apartments are the Adriano and the Tiberio apartments. So it could be perfect for a family gathering or a group of friends looking to spend a quiet and quality filled break in Rome.

Trastevere/Gianicolo
In Roman dialect, Trastevere means "across the Tiber”. This picturesque medieval area in fact is located on the west bank of the Tiber. Part of the historical centre of Rome, Trastevere is the perfect place to glimpse a bit of the old world while still enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. From the cobblestone streets to the overhanging laundry lines, senses are pleasantly awakened with every step you take in this bohemian neighborhood.
Equidistant from the Coliseum and the Vatican, Trastevere is an ideal place to discover the secrets of Rome on foot. Saint Peter and the Vatican city are about twenty minutes away and upon crossing the Tiber you get to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, and many other sights, in no time at all (15 to 30 minutes walks). If you want to take public transportation, the area is extremely well served by the electric buses of Rome. The district becomes very lively at night as it is full of trendy bars and dozens of quality restaurants and pizzerias, where you can taste great Italian food at reasonable prices. Trastevere is definitely one of Rome's most colorful and charming quarters. Known as a "city within a city" the neighborhood has more the feel of a village within a city…

Prima appartement op schitterende locatie midden in de wijk Trastevere. Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand te vinden (als je goed ter been bent). Gezellige restaurantjes, bars en 2 supermarkt(jes) in de directe omgeving.

We absolutely loved our stay in this apartment. It was a lovely, clean apartment and the owner, Francesca, had certainly gone out of her way to make us feel welcome. She text us prior to our trip to see if we needed any help with taxi’s, etc, and she also had lots of basics in the fridge and apartment such as coffee, sugar, bottled water, olive oil, etc. She also provided us with a list of recommendations of bars and restaurants, which was really helpful and the ones we tried were amazing! I still cannot believe how reasonable price-wise this apartment is and with the location is amongst the trendy area of Rome. We walked everywhere – we were so central. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone, it really played a big part in making our trip special, memorable, stress free and comfortable!

Sensationelle Lage des Appartments! Mitten in Trastevere, einem absolut gediegenen Viertel von Rom. Enge Gassen mit tollen kleinen großteils familienbetriebenen Restaurants, richtig nette Cafes und Bars sowie zahlreiche kleine Geschäfte mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Zum Wohnen in Rom die absolute Topempfehlung - alle Streifzüge durch Rom haben wir direkt vom Appartment aus zu Fuß starten können. Das Appartment ist zwar klein, aber sehr gut ausgestattet (sogar eine Nespresso Maschine steht zu Verfügung, um den Tagesbeginn sehr angenehm zu gestalten :-))

Location in Trastevere was perfect, apartment small, but very functional, details like Nespresso machine, i-pod dock, Wi-fi very appreciated. Fridge was stocked with essentials for the first day and all the other basics like coffee,tea etc. were present. Manuel gave us great suggestions for restaurants nearby.

EVERYTHING. The apartment was exactly as pictured. Francesca, our host, was the nicest. She greeted us at the apartment, had water and drinks for us, called us a car for the airport, gave us a map, showed us where we could find a grocery and good restaurants, etc. She made everything SO EASY and the apartment stay just made our trip even better.

I loved my 3 weeks stay and will definitely be back when I am next in Rome. Great location, great modern clean new studio. All the comforts of being home-eg kitchenette it is perfect for making your own meals and saving a little money and it has a Krupps espresso machine!!!! Location was excellent, walked all over. You can easily walk over to Campo dei Fiori, Santa Maria in Trastevere Piazza, Vatican etc .You’re in the heart of Trastevere. So there is unlimited variety of good local cafes, restaurants and bars. There even is a small supermarket and internet cafe on the same street. I would sincerely recommend this studio to any one visiting Rome for the price, location and quality of place. Thanks to Francesca for taking care me and always being helpful and friendly. Very attentive and professional. :)

Location and cleanliness - the apartment was well stocked with fruit, cereal, coffee, sugar, etc - everything one needs to get established. The A/C proved perfect to keep the room comfortable. Lot's of clean towels and sheets. Maid service was nice during our 9 night stay

The apartment is stylish and spotless; the bed was incredibly comfortable and the Nepresso machine was a real bonus. The owners are welcoming, congenial and professional - communication was excellent. The location is perfect for getting away from the more tourist-filled areas while remaining quite central. The proximity to the local shop and the market was a real advantage. Overall I thought the apartment was lovely and I would recommend it in the highest terms.
