The Leone Apartment in Rome

Located in one of the most authentic districts of the city centre and close to all major tourist attractions, this comfortable and charming apartment is the ideal accommodation for a family reunion or a special trip with treasured friends in Rome.

The apartment:

This two bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor of an 18th-century building with elevator (there is a short flight of stairs with 27 steps to reach the elevator) and can comfortably accommodate up to five people by using the sofa bed in the living room. With its soft colors, beautiful wood beamed ceilings, an ancient terra-cotta tile floor and good quality furnishings, the Leone apartment glows invitingly in the heart of Rome.

Immediately after entering the apartment you will find yourself in a large and pleasant living/dining area with two comfortable sofas, a fireplace (not functioning) and a dining table with chairs for all 5 guests. And you can really relax all your senses after a long day of sightseeing in this inviting living space thanks also to the satellite TV, DVD and stereo system.

Both bedrooms of the Leone apartment face onto a quiet street, providing overall a peaceful retreat in the center of Rome. One bedroom comes with a double queen size bed, ample wardrobe space for the guests’ belongings and an en-suite washroom with toilet. The other bedroom accommodates two single beds.

The main bathroom, decorated with prestigious Italian travertine stone, includes a bath/shower unit, a hairdryer and fresh towels ready for use upon arrival. Finally, the kitchen is functional and comes fully equipped with all the mod cons necessary to prepare any meal should the guest feel inclined to cook.

The Leone apartment is provided with air conditioning in both bedrooms and independent central heating.

Piazza Venezia/Colosseo

This district is one of the most beautiful and magical part of the city, as this is the area which was the economic, social and political centre of Rome during the imperial period: the Roman Forum.
Walking down the astonishing Via dei Fori Imperiali you will then reach the greatest amphitheatre of the antiquity, the Coliseum. Built about 1920 years ago and used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, the Coliseum is considered an architectural and engineering wonder, and remains a standing proof of both the grandeur and the cruelty of the Roman Empire.
Other major sites in Rome such as Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, are all within walking distance as well as the glamorous shopping streets of Via del Corso, Via Frattina and Via Condotti. Finally, it will take you only 20 min walking by crossing the Tiber over the panoramic  Palatino bridge to reach Trastevere, one of Rome’s most charming neighborhoods, an intricate maze of squares all interconnected by narrow, medieval cobbled streets where you will find lots of trendy bars, cafés and restaurants.
