The Aida apartment is situated in the heart of Trastevere, the picturesque medieval area located on the west bank of the Tiber. Part of the historical centre of Rome, Trastevere is the perfect place to glimpse a bit of the old world while still enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. From the cobblestone streets to the overhanging laundry lines, senses are pleasantly awakened with every step you take in this bohemian neighborhood.

Equidistant from the Coliseum and the Vatican, Trastevere is an ideal place to discover the secrets of Rome on foot. Saint Peter and the Vatican city are about twenty minutes away and upon crossing the Tiber you get to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, and many other sights, in no time at all (15 to 30 minutes walks). If you want to take public transportation, the area is extremely well served by the electric buses of Rome.

Few blocks from the Aida apartment, you can find the outdoor market of Piazza San Cosimato, where tented booths display a bountiful array of tantalizing fruits and vegetables, or the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, the most popular gathering place in the area. The apartment:

On the 2th floor of an ancient building with NO elevator, this charming apartment is a large and perfectly organized space with a lot of natural light coming from the windows overlooking a quite Trastevere’s street.

Guests will feel welcome as soon as they enter the apartment....The living room of the apartment offers an ancient tile floor, a comfy sofa and a dining table with four chairs. In this room the visitors can relax all their senses after a long day of sightseeing by watching satellite TV. The two sleeping areas of the apartment feature both a lovely room (which can be prepared as the main bedroom if preferred) with a double sofa bed, suitable for the 5th, the 6th, the 7th and the 8th guest and then two double beds nested on trendy mezzanine levels, accessible through some staircases. In one of the two bedrooms you can also find a spacious walk-in closet for guests’ belongings.

The kitchen is fully equipped if you choose to cook at home the fruit and vegetable bought at the close outdoor market. Finally, the bathroom is simple and fresh in look and comes with a tub/shower unit and fresh towels ready for use upon arrival.
The apartment is also fitted with air conditioning (in the living room and in one bedroom) and heating to ensure guests comfort throughout the year.
