Located just few minutes away from the Vatican City, it is an excellent home base for sightseeing and shopping trips to any of Rome’s most popular districts. Comfortably accommodating up to 7 people, this ground floor apartment comes also with a nice terrace where you can enjoy a bottle of fantastic wine or Spumante along with some culinary treats of the Italian kind.

The Paolina apartment is strategically situated in a quite and elegant area of the city centre of Rome, just a 5 minute walk from St. Peter’s Basilica and extremely close to Castel St. Angelo and the astonishing Vatican Museums, one of the most beautiful and popular museums in the world.
By crossing the bridge on the Tiber you can easily reach on foot the historical centre of Rome including Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish steps and the Coliseum. Also a five minutes' walk away guests are treated to the charming Prati district, adjacent to the Vatican: via Cola di Rienzo and Via Crescenzio with their countless boutiques represent a true paradise for shopping lovers.
The apartment is also close to Ottaviano-St.Peter underground station which provides a fast connection to Rome’s major historical sites and districts. The area is also very well served by buses if you want to enjoy more panoramic journeys. The typical Trastevere neighborhood full of trendy bars and quality restaurants is reachable with a 20 minute walk along via della Lungara, once the private street of the Pope.

The Paolina apartment offers two spacious and inviting bedrooms which feature queen size beds, plasma TVs and wardrobe spaces for guests’ belongings. In one of the bedrooms a single sofa bed provides comfortable sleeping for the fifth guest while the sixth and seventh guest can avail of the double sofa bed in the living room. Each bedroom has its own elegant en suite bathroom with shower and fresh towels ready to use upon arrival…
The bright and laid-back living room includes a comfy sofa, a table with four chairs, audiovisual equipment, and tasteful artworks; it is a great place to sit back and relax after a hard day of sightseeing or perhaps before heading out to explore Rome by night. The apartment location was perfect. The check in process while prescriptive was necessary and helpful. All services provided where excellent. Only complaint would be lack of internet or phone facilities in the apartment.

Great location! Within walking distance of major sights. Nice apartment and great to have the veranda area to sit out in the evening time. Lovely bakery and greengrocer just across the road with a bigger supermarket only 5 minutes walk away. Apartment owner very friendly and informative of the locality. Had a great stay and would go back!

I could not have been happier with the apartment. I was staying in Rome in the Paolina Apartment near the Vatican with my Mother and Niece,both of which had never been to Rome before. The owner was very friendly and talked us through everything in the apartment aswell as giving us a map of the city of Rome and marking all the great areas. The location was amazing. Only 3 minutes from St.Peters Basilica,in a very safe and residential street. The apartment was very clean,well equipt and honestly I have been raving about it ever since. I will no doubt be returning to Rome again and will most definitly be staying at the Paolina apartment. I also look forward to discoving other little gems that Friendly Rentals have in cities around Europe.

The appartment was very good situated close to the Vaticaan. Daily shopping good. Small deli in the same street, fruit round the corner en supermarket on walking distance. Transport also on walking distance. We booked the appartment because the terras and that was perfect. It was perfect to sit there for breakfest and after the sightseeing. We where family of 7, incl 3 children.

Das Appartement ist gut ausgestattet und hat ein schönes Ambiente. Für vier Personen bietet es reichlich Platz. Die Lage ist sehr gut, unmittelbare Nähe zum Vatikan und ruhig in der Nacht. Sehr gute Busanbindungen. Jederzeit zu empfehlen!

I liked the fact that there was a small decking area for the evening when we sat outside and enjoyed a few drinks over the days events. Also the apartment was very nice and the contact person was very helpful and we felt very comfortable with him.
