A very lovely, quite and central apartment with a fantastic communal terrace…

This cozy one bedroom apartment is set in the heart of the historic center and represents a great choice for your visit to Rome. Featuring an enchanting communal terrace, this apartment is perfect for al-fresco dining or wine tasting at sunset, while enjoying fabulous views of Rome’s rooftops. A holiday stay in this fantastic accommodation is one not to be missed!

The area surrounding the apartment:

The Garibaldi apartment enjoys a superb location: a small alley off Via Giulia, one of the most beautiful streets in Rome historical centre, known for its antique shops. From here you should wander around the wonderful tiny cobblestones streets of the local neighborhood - it's the perfect area to get lost in and make your own Rome discoveries as you are truly in the pulsing heart of the city.

A short 5 minute walk will have you in Piazza Navona, ten minutes to the Pantheon and twenty minutes to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. St. Peter’s Basilica is just a 15 minute walk away, while by crossing the nearby pedestrian bridge Ponte Sisto you will reach, in less than ten minutes, the bohemian district of Trastevere.

Few blocks from the Garibaldi’s apartment, you can also find the charming Campo de’ Fiori square. Nowadays "Campo de’ Fiori" represents one of the places where Rome shows its most authentic character from the early morning with its fabulous open air market, up to the deepest night with the entertaining offered by numerous bars, restaurants and "trattorie" of the area.
Yet, another fantastic location for sightseeing and exploring on foot all the best Rome has to offer.

The apartment:

Located on the first floor of a XVII century building with

NO elevator

, the Garibaldi apartment has been completely renovated to provide a modern bathroom and kitchen, while at the same time it has retained the charm of its ancient origins.

The apartment can boast of a lovely communal terrace on the top of the building which all guests are welcome to use during their visit. The terrace has a table and sittings for 4 guests as well as two sun loungers…It would be difficult to overstate the pleasures of enjoying a private terrace in Rome. Just imagine dinner on your own terrace on a warm evening, the flickering candles providing the right lighting, and the view of Rome’s rooftops…absolutely magic!

The Garibaldi apartment presents charm beyond the terrace, though, with its high original beamed ceilings, warm terra cotta floors, comfortable and contemporary furnishings. The bedroom is extremely quite and offers a double bed and a wardrobe for guests’ belongings.
The bright living room is a welcoming and enjoyable area where the guests will be able to sit back and chill out after a hard day of sightseeing and shopping... here you will find a table with four chairs and a double sofa.

The kitchen is small but functional and comes fully equipped with everything the guests might need to prepare a meal or a snack. The bathroom is fresh and simple in look; it features a shower unit, hairdryer and fresh towels ready for use upon arrival ...
This apartment also includes air conditioning, heating, internet connection and satellite TV to provide the guests with the maximum level of comfort.

Its original style and charm, combined with its spectacular, central location make the Garibaldi apartment an excellent choice to fully experience a special and unforgettable stay in Rome.

Piazza Navona

Piazza Navona is one of the most frequented place in Rome where both locals and tourists like to hang out even till late in the night thanks to the numerous outdoors cafés, restaurants and piano-bars. It is extremely pleasant just to sit on a cool stone bench and watch the world go by. Then join a table in one of the cafés that face onto the square and pep up your senses with an espresso or a cappuccino, while the locals shop and the street musicians capture the tourists. You will suddenly feel the Roman in you.
A two minutes walk will also have you in the amazing Piazza Campo de’ Fiori. Tradition would have it that the name, literally “field of flowers” comes from Flora, Pompeo's lover, but more likely it comes from the fact that in the late 1300's, the square was abandoned for a brief period, and became a meadow. Nowadays "Campo de' Fiori" represents one of the places where Rome shows its most authentic character from the early morning with its fabulous open air market, to the deepest night with entertainment offered by numerous bars, restaurants and "trattorie" of the area. We definitely recommend you to wander on your own and let yourself get lost on the beautiful cobblestone streets of the most fascinating area of the city.

Sara was very nice to be waiting for us at the apartment even though she was having phone trouble and did not confirm before we got there. She was vey pleasant and chatted with us about our visit for a little while. Loved the area, it was a quiet apartment close enough to the sites for young people to walk to.
