Luxurious loft style one bedroom apartment in a prime location, right on Piazza Campo de’ Fiori.
This is a stylish and newly renovated space, right on Piazza Campo de’ Fiori, within easy walking distance to most of the city’s attractions. A great designer romantic getaway in one of the most romantic cities in the world. That’s Amore!
The area surrounding the apartment:
The Amore apartment enjoys a superb location: the amazing Piazza Campo de’ Fiori, one of the most charming squares in Rome historical centre. Tradition would have it that the name, literally “field of flowers” comes from Flora, Pompeo's lover, but more likely it comes from the fact that in the late 1300's, the piazza was abandoned for a brief period, and became a meadow.
Nowadays "Campo de' Fiori" represents one of the places where Rome shows its most authentic character from the early morning with its fabulous open air market, to the deepest night with entertainment offered by numerous bars, restaurants and "trattorie" of the area. There are also some good clothing stores on the roads that lead into the square. Yet another fabulous place to pull up a chair, order an espresso or a glass of wine and do some serious people watching.
From here you should wander around the wonderful tiny cobblestone streets of the local neighborhood - it's the perfect area to get lost in and make your own Rome discoveries as you are truly in the pulsing heart of the city. A short 2 minute walk will have you in Piazza Navona, 10 minutes to the Pantheon, 20 minutes to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, and 30 minutes to the Colosseum. St. Peter’s Basilica is just a 15 minute walk away, while by crossing the nearby pedestrian bridge Ponte Sisto you will reach the characteristic district of Trastevere in 10 minutes. Undoubtedly, a double WOW! location.
The apartment:
Please note that from November 9th 2010 until May 15th 2011, there will be an advertising panel on the front of the building which will affect the view from the property. For this reason there is a 10% discount.
On the third floor of an ancient building with elevator, the Amore apartment is a beautiful contemporary space which will appeal to those who like modern interiors and comfort, yet also want to enjoy the old charm of Rome historical centre. The décor of this open plan style apartment is well executed, the furnishings are carefully chosen, the architectural touches are inspiring and every amenity you need for a deluxe stay is in place.
The living area is modern, bright, airy and comprises of a sectional sofa with double pull out bed which provides comfortable sleeping for the third and fourth guest. This area also comes with a 42” plasma TV and well-equipped home entertainment center so the guests can sit back and relax between sightseeing bouts. Besides, from the two big windows you can afford an incomparable view into the life of the colored and lively Campo de’ Fiori square.
The kitchen is delightfully spacious and modern, fully equipped to make culinary experimentation of the Italian kind. The kitchen/dining area features a cement countertop with 4 trendy stools which brings contrast and energy to the entire space.
The bedroom offers a queen sized mattress and a large walk in closet with space for all the guest's belongings. The pretty bathroom is beautifully designed, from the stylish wash basin to the exclusive bathtub/shower unit. Both bedroom and bathroom are characterized by some amazing floor-to-ceiling iron sliding panels which contribute in creating a dynamic sleeping area. The apartment also comes with internet, AC and heating to ensure the guests' comfort at all times.
One of the benefits of having two apartments close by in the same building, like the Amore and the Psyche, is that we can accommodate a slightly larger group of friends or family that may want to holiday together in Rome but at the same time enjoy some privacy
The Amore apartment is really one of a kind: its magnificent structure, elegant design and perfectly central location will leave you with an unforgettable Roman experience.
Piazza Navona
Piazza Navona is one of the most frequented place in Rome where both locals and tourists like to hang out even till late in the night thanks to the numerous outdoors cafés, restaurants and piano-bars. It is extremely pleasant just to sit on a cool stone bench and watch the world go by. Then join a table in one of the cafés that face onto the square and pep up your senses with an espresso or a cappuccino, while the locals shop and the street musicians capture the tourists. You will suddenly feel the Roman in you.
A two minutes walk will also have you in the amazing Piazza Campo de’ Fiori. Tradition would have it that the name, literally “field of flowers” comes from Flora, Pompeo's lover, but more likely it comes from the fact that in the late 1300's, the square was abandoned for a brief period, and became a meadow. Nowadays "Campo de' Fiori" represents one of the places where Rome shows its most authentic character from the early morning with its fabulous open air market, to the deepest night with entertainment offered by numerous bars, restaurants and "trattorie" of the area. We definitely recommend you to wander on your own and let yourself get lost on the beautiful cobblestone streets of the most fascinating area of the city.
