Centrally located and newly renovated, this is the ideal solution for those seeking a contemporary space in the heart of Rome.

The Modigliani apartment is nicely restored, well laid out, tastefully furnished, bright and cheerful. Situated in a tiny pedestrian only street off Campo de’ Fiori Square, it is an excellent home base for sightseeing and shopping trips to any of Rome’s most popular neighborhoods.

The area surrounding the apartment:

The Modigliani apartment enjoys a superb location: just a stone’s throw from the amazing Piazza Campo de’ Fiori, one of the most charming squares in Rome's historical centre. Tradition would have it that the name, literally “field of flowers” comes from Flora, Pompeo's lover, but more likely it comes from the fact that in the late 1300's, the piazza was abandoned for a brief period, and became a meadow.

Nowadays "Campo de' Fiori" represents one of the places where Rome shows its most authentic character from the early morning with its fabulous open air market, to the deepest night with entertainment offered by numerous bars, restaurants and "trattorie" of the area. There are also some good clothing stores on the roads that lead into the square. Yet another fabulous place to pull up a chair, order an espresso or a glass of wine and do some serious people watching.

From here you should wander around the wonderful tiny cobblestone streets of the local neighborhood - it's the perfect area to get lost in and make your own Rome discoveries as you are truly in the pulsing heart of the city. A short 2 minute walk will have you in Piazza Navona, 10 minutes to the Pantheon, 20 minutes to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, and 30 minutes to the Colosseum. St. Peter’s Basilica is just a 15 minute walk away, while by crossing the nearby pedestrian bridge Ponte Sisto you will reach the characteristic district of Trastevere in 10 minutes . Undoubtedly, a double WOW! location.

The apartment:

Located on the first floor of an ancient building with

NO elevator

, this charming two level apartment has recently undergone a total renovation to guarantee modern day amenities and efficiency. Golden fir wood floors and designer furnishings create an elegant coziness throughout.

On entering this apartment, you will find an open floor plan which combines the living room with the kitchen area. The living room is a perfect place to relax all your senses after a long day of sight seeing by enjoying the loft entertainment system that includes a 42” flat screen television, DVD/CD player, surround sound system and basic satellite television service.
Sleek and modern, the kitchen is completely outfitted for cooks of all types while the dining table offers seating for four.

Above, nested on the second level, you will find the bedroom accessible through a red spiral staircase. This inviting room has a queen size double bed and exposed original oak beams. Next to the bedroom, charm and sobriety have gone into the creation of the relaxing and enjoyable bathroom which offers a generous oversize shower.

Whether you are a senior executive on a business trip or a couple in search of a Roman memorable vacation, the Modigliani apartment is the ideal solution to experience the splendor of Rome.

Piazza Navona

Piazza Navona is one of the most frequented place in Rome where both locals and tourists like to hang out even till late in the night thanks to the numerous outdoors cafés, restaurants and piano-bars. It is extremely pleasant just to sit on a cool stone bench and watch the world go by. Then join a table in one of the cafés that face onto the square and pep up your senses with an espresso or a cappuccino, while the locals shop and the street musicians capture the tourists. You will suddenly feel the Roman in you.
A two minutes walk will also have you in the amazing Piazza Campo de’ Fiori. Tradition would have it that the name, literally “field of flowers” comes from Flora, Pompeo's lover, but more likely it comes from the fact that in the late 1300's, the square was abandoned for a brief period, and became a meadow. Nowadays "Campo de' Fiori" represents one of the places where Rome shows its most authentic character from the early morning with its fabulous open air market, to the deepest night with entertainment offered by numerous bars, restaurants and "trattorie" of the area. We definitely recommend you to wander on your own and let yourself get lost on the beautiful cobblestone streets of the most fascinating area of the city.

The location could not have been better. It was right in the center of the city and close to everything! We also loved the amenities in the apartment--it was very well-decorated and the perfect size for 2 people. It was also very convenient to have our own kitchen as it was impossible not to buy produce, cheese and meat at the market right outside our door! Gigi, United States 22 June 2010
