• By Plane
  Paris has two international airports: Orly to the South and Roissy Charles de Gaulle to the north. To see how to get to downtown Paris from either one of the two airports, please visit the official Paris airports webpage.

• By Train
  At least 6 train stations in the Paris city center allow you to get to Paris and travel throughout France. The destinations covered by the different train stations are generally speaking the following:

- Gare du Nord: Norte de Francia y Norte de Europa (salidas para Gran Bretaña en el tren Eurostar)       
 - Gare de Lyon: Sudeste de Francia (Côte d'Azur)              
 - Gare Montparnasse: Sudoeste de Francia              
 - Gare de l'Est: Noreste de Francia y Europa del Este      
 - Gare d'Austerlitz: parte central de Francia y España              
 - Gare Saint Lazare: Normandía y el Oeste de Francia

• On foot!
  The easiest and often most pleasant way to be cradled by Paris magic.
  
  
• On Vélib'
  Paris offers more than 20,000 free bikes, distribiuted around town at about 1500 bike stations. First half an hour free of charge.
  Parisians go crazy for them!

• By subway, bus, RER or tram
  
Paris has a very well developed network of public transport. The preferable means to move easily around town during your stay. The subway lines (# 1 to 14) work from 5.30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays (closing time at 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday). You can also use the 6 train lines called RER (lines A to E) for easy access to the suburbs. The bus lines work very well. • By Taxi
  A perfect match to public transport.
  Attention: taxis in Paris don't have a special distinctive color! You must identify taxis from a special light on the roof of the cabs.
  You can either hail taxis on the street by raising your arm, or you can phone up for one.

  ... Only if you love complications or have no choice. The worst form of transport, as in all major capitals. Avoid it if possible.
