The area surrounding the apartment:

The Puerta del Sol is in the "0 km" where all national highways start, the very centre of the capital...

From the apartment we can see the very well known landmark, the clock from the Puerta del Sol square; this square is a mecca of people, cafes and bars, with all the comings and goings of a big city.... the visitor to Madrid can choose any of the many bars, restaurants and shops which are so typical of Madrid.

Near the Puerta del Sol there is a very typical area of Madrid, at only 3 minutes you will find The Palacio Real and The Jardines de Oriente which were closed to traffic a few years ago and is now a pedestrianised area, perfect for a walk or to enjoy a refreshment in any of its beautiful terraces at the Opera and its surroundings.

With a metro station 100m from the apartment.. and lots of different buses to move around the city the location and comfort of the Puerta del Sol apartment is unbeatable...

The Apartment:

The Puerta del Sol apartment is a fantastic duplex, and the distribution on each floor is wonderful. Each floor has a fantastic terrace and there is lots of natural light and luminous areas in this great apartment.

The lower floor of the apartment is where the guest will find the kitchen and living room, which is all one space and a very appealing and charming part of the apartment. It connects to one of the great terraces wich has some lovely views of the neighbourhood. On the same floor we find one of the bedrooms which has an independent bathroom; this bedroom comes with ample wardrobe space for the guests belongings in the living area the guest will find a sofa bed for the 5th and 6th guests.

The upstairs level of this apartment is wonderful, with a view of the Puerta del Sol landmark, it's fantastic tower clock if the guest is lucky enough to be visiting Madrid over the New Year as this is where they ring in each New Year. The terrace on this level is a great choice for al fresco dinners and comes decorated with plants.
