Located in one of Madrid's most well-known and central avenues, in a charming neighbourhood amongst a popular, traditional shopping, leisure and entertainment city area.
Its location is perfect since it is metres away from an important leisure venue with an original language cinema, cafés and restaurants with terraces. It is also a few minutes walk from the Parque del Oeste (West Park), one of Madrid's green lungs, perfect to go for a walk in or to exercise in, and close to some of the most traditional tapas areas. Walking distance from the Royal Palace and Plaza de España, it is very well connected via bus or underground to the most busy tourist city areas. Altogether a safe and pleasant neighbourhood.
The apartment:
A true delight! Tastefully refurbished and decorated, this apartment is fit for an interior design magazine. Original art works are hung on the ceiling as if they were frescos, a large selection of paintings are on the walls, and modern art is combined with antique furniture imported directly from choice stores in Holland, along with the materials used for construction. Sensitively decorated with centennial wooden floors originally belonging to a historic hospital, antique doors, tiles, and gorgeous washbasins reclaimed from the remains of ancient houses are some of the characteristics that make this accommodation a very special place full of personality.
The apartment has two double bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom and is fitted with a bathtub. It has heating, air-conditioning and all the necessary equipment for a great stay.

Plaza de España Mad
At the end of Gran Via you will find Plaza Espana. Plaza Espana is surrounded by serveral building that once held the record for the tallest building, both here in Madrid and also in Europe. Two such buildings are Tower of Madrid and the Spain Building, and they represent examples of 1950 arcatecture. The skyscrapers of Plaza Espana also share a setting with more traditional and historic monuments of Madrid. Here you will find sculptures that pay homage to Cervantes by representing the classic personages of Don Quijote and Sancho Panza. You will find the sculptures beautifully nestled among the enormous gardens of the Plaza. Plaza Espana is one the largest plazas in the city and is a great example of peaceful multiculturalism.
Plaza Espana borders West Park from Paseo de Moret and goes as far as Rosales Street. This enormous park is one of the largest green areas in the city. Close to the Plaza Espana you will find the Debot Temple. This Egyptian temple was a gift from Egypt and was provided to thank Spain for their contribution in building the Assuan Dam. The temple was transferred stone by stone to Spain, from Eygpt. From this beautiful sanctuary you can witness some of the best views in the city, which incompasses the royal palace, the Campo del Moro and ends at the Manzanares River. A few meters from here you can have a interesting and colourful aerial view of the city by taking the old cable car. In the end of Rosales Street you will find large brick buildings that make up some of the most expensive residential areas when measured by cost per square meter.

We had a really enjoyable stay in the Amsterdam Apartment. The look and feel of the rooms was very nice and the location was great. The furniture, bedding and decor were of a high standard and it felt like there were lots of personal touches, unlike a hotel.
