This apartment can be found in one of Madrid's most sought after neighbourhoods, the Salamanca Barrio which is known for it's great ambience and atmoshpere. It has all the main sights and places of interest within easy walking distance... there are lots of clothes shops and great one off boutiques on, off and around Goya Street....

The area surrounding the apartment;

At one end of this great neighbourhood the guest will find on calle Narváez y la Plaza de Felipe II, a large commercial shopping centre for anything they may need, as well as the "palacio de los Deportes" which was recently inaugurated, with all the latest hightech, and is a very well known venue for all types of social and cultural events... In and around these two important landmarks you will find plenty of clothes shops, cafes, bars and restaurants where the guest can enjoy tapas in the sun...

To the other side of the neighbourhood we have Calle Alcalá, next to "la Puerta de Alcalá", one of the more known sights of the city. Walking along this area, down this very wide Avenida, we can stop off at the "Museo del Prado" or the "Plaza de Cibeles"...

The Apartment

This recently renovated aparmtent is a great choice for your visit to Madrid. Renovated and decorated with great taste with a touch of the exotic, the Goya Madrid apartment comes with all the little extras to ensure the guest has a relaxing and hassle free stay; these include internet connection, telephone, 24h concierge and a local restaurant that will deliver to the door... The most important feature, we believe, is the peace and tranquility afforded to the guest once inside the building which is an abosolute must to ensure a relaxing time in a busy city such as Madrid...

The space in this 70m2 apartment has been maximised to it's full potential. Divided amongs the two bedrooms, two bathrooms, the living/dining area and the kitchen the result is a modern, light filled, extremely charming apartment in a great neighbourhood...

The main bedroom is spacious and comes with a queen size double bed and has lots of natural light; the guest will find a large built in wardrobe for all belongings... tastefully decorated in a simple and elegant tone, this really is a pleasant room... the ensuite bathroom comes with a shower unit, toilet, sink, etc...

The second bedroom comes with two single beds, known as "cama nido", which means one is stored under the other while not in use; once taken out from underneath the bed is the same height as the other one... here the guests will also find a built in wardrobe. The second bathroom is not ensuite, but along the corridor, and is also a very good size and comes with a bath/shower unit, toilet, sink, etc ... fresh towels are ready for use upon arrival...

As mentioned this apartment has plenty of natural light, every room has a large window which allows the light to pour in and lends a sunny and warm feeling throughout the apartment...

The living/dining room is a great place to sit back and relax after a day of sightseeing or before heading out to discover what this great city has to offer enterntainment wise at nighttime.... there is something for everyone!!!

This borders of Salamanca are Paseo de la Castellana, Retiro Park, María de Molina Street y Francisco Silvela Street. Salamanca is one of the few nieghbourhoods in Madrid has incorporated modern town planning thus having perpendicular streets that are organised in well defined blocks. 
The neighborhood of Salamanca traditionally has been considered an upper class neighborhood and is requested most by locals and long term visitors and does not feel like your typically touristy neighborhood.  This is where you will find Madrid’s most luxirious stores.  Salamancas most important streets are Serrano, Velázquez, Goya y Príncipe de Vergara.  Serano Street begins at Plaza de Independencia, where the famous Puerta de Alcalá is found. Puerta de Alcalá was designed by the orders of Carlos III and is the main entrance of the Retiro. The Retiro is a symbolic monument for Madrid. Also located in this zone are  small palaces that still remain from the 19th century. Serrano Street is one of the most famous Streets in Madrid and of course is the choice location for the most famous and exclusive stores.  Here you will find luxurious Shopping centers, cafés and high-ranking restaurants. 

Without doubt this area is know for being the best residential area of Madrid.  It is very well connected to the historic center, by both Metro and Bus. It is conveiently located a short walking distance from the most important places and museums, but stills offers a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere. In saying that the area is in no way boring, and also offers excitement if that is what you seek. In fact, it is an excellent place to take a pleasant walk, to shop in the most exclusive boutiques, grab a drink at a bar or to eat in a fine restaurant.  Salamanca offers an extensive range of Hotels and good restaurants.  It also offers options for night-life.
