The Machado apartment is situated between the Chueca area, which is one of the most genuine and cosmopolitan neighbourhoods of the city, and the Gran Vía area. The Gran Vía is an avenue connecting the Alcalá Street with the Plaza de España and one of the more important roads to cross Madrid city centre. It is a must to walk along to get to know the city and one of the places with the largest number of shops and cinemas. The apartment is located a five minutes' walk from the Plaza de Callao, a square full of atmosphere where you can find shops, cafés and all kinds of services and from here you can reach Puerta del Sol and the street Preciados on foot.

The Chueca neighbourhood, five minutes' walk in the opposite direction, is one of the trendiest areas of Madrid centre. Its popularity is due to the modern and varied supply of shops and restaurants in the area. This is an old part of Madrid that has recently been remodelled and reformed and also made itself famous for being the gay zone of Madrid - the gay community having converted Chueca into an area full of life 24 hours a day. It is full of quality bars and restaurants for all tastes and also of a great number of shops that are especially popular with the city's younger inhabitants and visitors.

The Machado is a bright apartment on the third floor in a building that has been recently renovated. The renovation took great care in preserving detail and also provided a lift for the building.

This lovely studio apartment has a double bed to one end, dressed in nice bright colour; this area is seperated by a japanese style blind and gives the feeling that this area is seperate..

The lving/dining area are equally nice and a very welcoming and relaxing area.. Here the guest can sit back and relax before heading out to discover all Madrid has to offer.. as mentioned this apartment is extremely central so, it is an ideal choice for your visit.. Here you will find a very comfortable sofa which can also be used as a sofa bed for the 3rd and 4th guests..

The kitchen is modern and simple in style and comes with all the mod cons to ensure that your visit will be a hassle free one..

The bathroom comes with a bath/shower unit, fresh towels ready for use upon arrival and is elegant and simple in style..

The street on which the apartment is situated is a quiet street, even though it is in the middle of Madrid centre, and it is very well communicated by metro and bus with the rest of the city. The closest metro station is called Tribunal and the station Chueca is also within easy walking distance. To get to the apartment by bus, choose lines 74, 202, 2 or 1 to Gran Vía 54 and walk from there.

If you arrive by car, the nearest parking garages would be Parking Tudescos on Plaza María Soledad Torres or the garage on Plaza Tribunal.
