The Fuencarral apartment has an excellent location right in the Glorieta de Bilbao where Calle Carranza and Fuencarral Street meet. This is, without a doubt, one of the most popular meeting points for both Madrileños and visitors since it is the joining point between two emblematic neighborhoods, Malasaña and Chamberí. The Fuencarral Apartment an ideal place for those who don´t want to miss anything.
The apartment is very centrally located just a few meters from the metro and several bus lines. It is surrounded by every type of service imaginable within 5 minutes walking distance such as shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and cinemas. Everything! Any and every guest will love this safe neighborhood.
The Apartment:
The apartment is very charming and has a personal touch in the big city. Nice, cozy, comfortable, bright and spectacular views. These are all just adjectives to describe this charming apartment in the center of Madrid where every stay will be unforgettable.
The views are what stand out first in the apartment due to its position on the sixth floor and to the large windows that border the living room. The apartment also has panoramic views of the rooftops of Madrid along with views of the skyscrapers in the Northern part of the city allowing one to enjoy the activity in the streets without leaving the apartment. Another special element to the apartment is natural light. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets. We must mention that it is not recommended for those night owls who don´t like to wake up to light in the morning.
The apartment can sleep up to 6 persons comfortably. One enters the apartment into a nice hall that leads to the living and dining room that has a large dining room table and a sofa that converts into a sofa bed for two. From this area to the right through an archway and separated by a beautiful linen curtain giving privacy, you will find a bedroom with a queen sized bed and closets. From there you can go through a door that takes you to a nice greenhouse with two chairs and a small table perfect for having tea. The spacious kitchen is close by with a nice breakfast bar and stools. From here, you can access the full bathroom with bathtub. Finally, there is the second bedroom with a trundle bed that converts into 2 individual beds and built-in closets.
The entire apartment has marvelous wooden flooring with a shine and color that is difficult to find these days making this apartment super super nice and cozy.

Chamberí
Chamberí is bordered on the North by the Cuatro Caminos roundabout and the Raimundo Fernandez de Villaverde street; On the East by the Paseo de la Castellana; In the South by the Plaza de Colon and the streets of Sagasta, Genova, Carranza and Alberto Aguilera; In the West by the streets of Princesa, Isaac Peral, Arcipreste de Hita and Juan XXIII.
Chamberí is a residential neighborhood. There are many university student residents in the area due to the proximity to the Ciudad Universitaria de Madrid. This has helped the development of the area. The neighborhood has traditional markets such as the Abastos de Vallehermoso, Andrés Mellado, Chamberí and Alonso Cano markets.
The Northern part of Chamberí has a number of top-line sports facilities open to the public.
Chamberí also has a new Cultural Complex called the Teatro de Canal which was inaugurated in November of 2008. It is located on the corner of Cea Bermudez and Bravo Murillo and consists of three buildings: a theater, an auditorium and a rehearsal complex. The Teatro de Canal will be the headquarters of the Choir and Orchestra of the Comunidad of Madrid, the Dance Company de Madrid and the Choreography Institute of Madrid.
As far as architecture goes, we could say that every type of building can be found in the district of Chamberí. Many large and old palaces, convents, schools, hospitals and churches have been declared as National Monuments. All of this adds to Chamberí`s interesting diverse culture with its abundance of modernist, neo-gothic and neo-mudejar representation.
The blue Line 1 Metro, Madrid´s oldest inaugurated in 1919, has four metro stops in the Chamberí district: Cuatro Caminos, Rios Rosas, Iglesia and Bilbao. The Chamberí metro stop used to belong to this line, but was closed in 1966. Back in those days, the people referred to it as the “Ghost Station”. It is now the Museo de Metro de Madrid “Anden 0” (Platform 0) which was founded in March 2008.
