The apartment is perfectly located in Central Madrid (Chamberi) in a residential area where trees line the streets, yet within easy walking distance of countless restaurants, bars and shops in the area as well as the shopping facilities around Metro Arguelles, Plaza Quevedo and calle Fuencarral (leading to Gran Via).
Busy city spots such as plaza Dos-de-Mayo, Tribunal, Chueca, Plaza España and even Paseo de la Castellaña on one side and Gran Via on the other are all within easy reach and mix with quieter parts such as the lovely Parque del Oeste and calle Pintor Rosales with its terraces and restaurants overlooking the park. The campus of Madrid’s Complutense University is also within walking distance.
The apartment is excellent for public transport, with four different metro lines located only between 2 and 7 minutes walking distance from the apartment (stations: Isla Filipinas, Moncloa, Arguelles and a little further Quevedo). The Moncloa regional bus station as well as easy access by car to the M30, M40 or the A6 Motorways (the latter leads up to the Mountains in the north of Madrid) guarantee full accessibility with minimal traffic problems. Madrid’s circular cycle path “Anillo Verde” which surrounds the entire city of Madrid is accessible only about 1 km from the apartment.
All aspects to manage day to day life are easily accessible from the apartment. There is a supermarket, a bank, a beauty salon and garage parking directly opposite, a pharmacy on the corner, coffee bars, dry cleaners, bakeries, fruit shops and so on in the side streets nearby.
The Apartment:
The 80 m2, 5th floor apartment (with elevator) has been newly renovated and refurbished and is white and bright. It has been decorated in a modern and stylish fashion, designed to combine easy and comfortable private living in the three bedrooms, together with a social living room for relaxing, sitting and eating with friends. The apartment can comfortably accommodate 5 to 6 people. The flat is equipped with 10 MB wireless Internet access, a wireless phone, adjustable lights in all rooms and a safe.
The living room and the dining room are integrated. The large conservatory doors at the end of the living room open onto a balcony overlooking the treetops and the street. The lounge also has a large flat screen TV, over 30 digital television and radio channels (some in dual language) and designer lighting with dimmer.
One bedroom is extremely spacious with an en-suite hotel inspired tiled bathroom and walk-in shower. The accompanying wardrobe, side tables and chest of drawers are handmade for the room from natural dark cherry-wood. Two people can comfortably sleep here.
The second bedroom is bright with subtle hints of Indian inspired décor. It has large exterior facing windows, a large three-door wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Two people can comfortably sleep here.
The third bedroom is also bright and has large conservatory doors that can be opened in the summer onto a balcony. There is a table in the room with two chairs, together with a two-door wardrobe and a small double bed. This room is a little smaller than the other two bedrooms and is suited for one person or two children sleeping comfortably.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials for cooking and laundry. There is a combined grill and oven microwave together with a four ring gas hob. There is also an excellent integrated washer/dryer.
The apartment has ample additional storage space. There is a very large wardrobe in the entrance enabling easily accessible storage for coats and shoes. There is also a storage room opposite the kitchen where even large items such as a bicycle, ironing tables and the like can be stored. There is also a third storage space in the ceiling enabling storage of items such as suitcases and non essential items.
The apartment is an excellent choice for both long and short term rentals. It would suit people who want to establish themselves in Madrid and are looking for a central haven where they can enjoy all aspects of the Spanish way of life, but its excellent location would also suit short term lets for tourist and leisure visits to both the Spanish capital and its surrounding areas.

Arguelles Montcloa
Argüelles and Moncloa are very central areas, with high category and beautiful residential buildings belonging mostly to the 50`s era. The area is a mix between the fast paced, bustling historic center and the quiet tranquility of a residential neighborhood. The bustling Arguelles zone is busier than Moncloa due to being enclosed by a number of very popular commercial streets such as calle Alberto Aguilera and calle Princesa, where you can find some of the best and most prestigious shopping centers and an entire building of ´del Corte Ingles` between them, plus dozens of clothing stores, shoes and accessories.
The Plaza de los cubos, in calle Princesa, is a popular entertainment centre, filled with cinemas and specialized rooms in which both the locals and their relatives come to watch movies in one of the few areas of the city where films are showed in their original version.
Around these main avenues are thousands of secondary streets filled with antique businesses alongside the more modern; bars, shops and restaurants, which without doubt characterise the everyday life of this area. Among the alleys and small urban squares there are large green spaces like the ´Parque del Oeste` one of the most beautiful parks in Madrid, with a preserved natural wilderness and the biggest in the city, where in addition to being able to enjoy long walks, you can get a cable car ride overlooking the Manzanares River. The best part about this area is its authenticity, by simply walking through the neighbourhood you will discover the most authentic values of Madrid, small and charming places to shop, not just special clothing, but music or art specialist also.
It is known for being an area where good food can be found at reasonable prices. Especially recommended are snacks found strolling along the calle limòn, or the ´Plaza de las descalzas` and an obligatory visit of the Cuartel de Conde Duque, where many of the concerts and cultural events of the city are held.
Argüelles is always well connected, intersected with any part of the city by metro and in general all modes of transport. An area full of life, and definitely one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods of Madrid that is sure to delight any visitor.
The most residential and expensive part of the area are the homes along the calle del pintor Rosales. Spacious and quality apartments which often have tremendous views of the ´Parque del Oeste` make up one of the most expensive residential zones in Madrid’s real estate market.
The Moncloa area is a continuation of Arguelles, characterized by its close proximity to the ´Universitaria de la Complutense´ and therefore with a strong sense of student life and equally surrounded by green areas including ´Parque del Oeste` as mentioned. There are also long Avenues with many bars and restaurants along the large sidewalks like the calle San Francisco de Sales or Cea Bermúdez with terraces when good weather starts and where you can enjoy snacks and drinks.
One of its most important buildings is the interchange of Moncloa which houses intercity bus lines that come from other cities and metro line 3.
Also well known is the mirador de Moncloa, a high platform supported by a large column in the form of a mushroom, from where the cities traffic is controlled and sightseeing is accepted on days as signed.
From the Plaza de Cristo Rey heading out to the arco del triunfo, towards the highway of La Coruña (N – II) where there is a quick access to the M-30 and M-40, you will find the
Palacio de la Moncloa, head office of Spains central Government.
