Outdoors comfort and relax in the Alvalade neighborhood
Villa Viana will please everyone looking for a classic but homely place with a garden, perfect for a pleasurable stay that brings together sightseeing and open air leisure time.
This neighborhood residential villa, with its pleasant rear garden is decorated in classical style that highlights a series of artistic photographs. Space and light are king.
The villa:
The villa is fitted for 8 people and two children.
On the 1st floor, there is an en-suite bedroom with a double bed (160cm) and a bathroom with a bathtub, another bedroom with double bed (140cm), and yet another bedroom with two single beds, as well as a bathroom with shower. Also on this floor, there is an area with a sofa bed that can accommodate two children.
On the garden level, there is the lounge/dining room, with a vast reception area with large armchairs and sofas around a fireplace and an LCD TV with DVD. The dining room will allow you to entertain guests at the big wooden table. The kitchen is fitted with all the cooking utensils, appliances, and dishes you might need at home. On this level, there is another bedroom with a pull-out bed that can be made up into one double bed.
The apartment is heated with independent radiators and has hot/cold air conditioning units in the living room and one bedroom. There is also a garage for those arriving by car.
A perfect place for those visiting Lisbon with a group and wishing to do so in a typical Lisbon atmosphere.

Avenidas Novas
This sector of the city often called « Avenidas Novas » is the actual traditional business centre of Lisbon with large avenues bordered with trees, linking in-town parks like Eduardo VII Park in the continuity of the avenida da Liberdade or the garden of the Gulbenkian Foundation which surrounds the museum of same name or pleasant green squares like Praça de Londres or Alameda. The Gulbenkian museum is a « must » of all types of art gathered by a distinguished collector Calouste Gulbenkian ; you must visit it, you will be surprised !
In this vast district, a couple of separate shopping areas : Saldanha, El Corte Ingles or the Avenida de Roma, each of them is very animated and busy with all facilities of a modern city : restaurants, shopping centres, cinemas… On-site you will find all commodities for your day-to-day shopping like a true “Lisboeta”, with groceries and bakeries around the corner.
One of the major asset of the place is its proximity to many types of public transportation, buses or metro lines take you to the historical centre in a 15 min ride. You are also at walking distance of the Entrecampos or Areeiro train stations and from there you can go and visit the royal city of Sintra or reach the other side of the Tagus River and its large white sand beaches.
Don’t forget cultural life with several cultural centres like the Instituto Franco Português or the Culturgest entertainment hall. Here are continuously programmed a mix of music, contemporary ballet shows and art exhibitions, and don’t miss the Portuguese bull fight corridas in the Campo Pequeno arenas a few blocks away.

De villa is een zeer goede thuis basis om Lissabon en omgeving te bezoeken. Een huurauto is dan wel aan te bevelen. We zijn zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en uitgezwaaid door Pedro. Het huis is zeer ruim en zeker aan te raden voor gezinnen met kinderen,de tuin prachtig en zeer aangenaam om lekker in alle rust buiten te zitten.

We enjoyed our stay in this house. It furfilled fully our expectations after having seen the pictures on friendlyrentals.com. Also the very friendly owners they have waited for us til the very late evening becouse our plane was delayed. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad in dit huis, onze verwachtingen na het zien van de foto's op friendlyrentals waren goed in overeenstemming. Ook de eigenaren waren zeer vriendelijk, zij hebben lang op ons moeten wachten omdat ons vliegtuig vertraagd was maar stonden klaar met een heerlijke fles wijn.

La maison est très belle, grande et confortable. La jardin est un atout positif non négligeable. Les propriétaires vous réserve un accueil chaleureux et sont disponible. La villa se trouve près de toutes commodités et près du centre ville
Les lits de la suite parentales étaient très durs. Et l'isolation phonique est très moyenne...

the villa was very spacious and good value for money...suprised the patio area and bbq was not mentioned in the ad though! when i enquired beforehand about this they said there wasn't one! it was very airy and light with a good outdoor eating area
