A lovely apartment on 3 levels in the heart of Alfama
You will be truly delighted to stay in a small old-time building completely redone and located in the heart of the Alfama district, one of the oldest and most popular neighborhoods in town. It is a three story apartment within a small house located inside an inner court, where you can comfortably stay with family or friends up to 6-8 people. It will be the perfect place from where to start out on all your tourist activities in Lisbon. It is both close to the Fado and Portuguese Guitar Museum and just 5 minutes away from the Santa Apolonia train and subway station. In the surrounding area you shall find plenty of taverns, traditional restaurants and Fado houses, as well as grocery stores and all kinds of typical Lisbon shops.
The apartment:
The Beco das Cruzes apartment has a 70m2 surface area and is both comfortable and well laid out. On the first floor guest's will find a beautifully decorated bedroom, in shades of gray, black and white, with a large double bed (180cm wide) and a couch that can be turned into an single extra bed. Right next door, guests have a blue-color bathroom with shower, washbasin, and toilet. A wooden staircase goes up to the second and third floor of this apartment. On the second floor, the living room, which comprises a kitchen corner, equipped with all necessary appliances to prepare your meals, with a dining table at the center, and two benches that can also be used as two single beds. For your comfort there is also a TV set, DVD player and wireless internet access.
On this floor, guests also have another bathroom, with shower, washbasin and toilet, all in orange.
And on the third floor, guests shall find a large bedroom, in sober and modern decor, which promises serenity and a propitious rest. It is furnished with a 160cm wide double bed which can also be used as two single beds, all according to your needs, and a couch that can be used as extra bed. A bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet, in bright lively colors, is also located on this floor.
For your utmost comfort there is also air conditioning on all floors which can be used for heating in the winter.

Alfama
If you come to Lisbon, you cannot miss Alfama, one of the most picturesque and historical medieval neighborhood, a mesh of small tiny streets, cul-de-sacs and stone stairs. Here lives a mixed population, people of all ages, “true” lisboners or lost tourists come to visit or to listen Fado. Like in many other places in Lisbon, you’ll find here also some of the most spectacular viewpoints of the Tagus river and the city. Here you can still find various forms of traditional commerce, as well as nice quaint little restaurants and bars. From the apartment you can walk to the majority of the most popular sightseeing destinations, such as the “Castelo de S. Jorge” the “Sé” or the “Baixa Pombalina”. For transportation, walk, or go down to Santa Apolónia the main train station and its recently opened metro station, or use the popular tram n°28 that zigzags through Alfama and pursues its trip up and down the hills of Lisbon. Although of restricted access by car, there are several parking facilities nearby.
