The São Rafael Tower is one of the twin towers with futuristic caravel sail shape which are the symbol of the Expo district. You'll find yourself in the new 21st century Lisbon, surrounded by major architectural masterpieces in Parque das Nações! The Expo Duplex apartment is a splendid ultra modern duplex, with views over the Tagus and a lively area: the Casino Lisboa, the Vasco da Gama Shopping Mall, the Oceanarium and many other activities along the river banks are all at your feet. To reach the historical part of town, use the metro or bus network for a quicker ride.


The apartment:



On the 17th floor of one of the two ultra modern buildings easily recognised for their boat sail shape, the Expo Duplex apartment can lodge up to 6 guests in a very convivial mode over 125m² using its two upstairs bedrooms and the extra sofa bed in living room. It is located in the very centre of the Expo district, just above the Vasco da Gama Shopping Mall, in front of the Oriente subway station.

All rooms are facing south, overlooking the Tagus and the exhibition centre, thus they are very bright. When entering the apartment, you access a very comfortable living room, the ideal spot to admire the magnificent aerial views of the Expo. You can enjoy a large LCD TV, or listen to music, unless you should prefer to watch a cable TV show. The sofa is a convertible double bed sofa. The independent kitchen is white and fully equipped with all modern day appliances so that guests can cook their meals and enjoy them at the adjacent dining corner.

The bedroom area in this duplex is upstairs and a has a warm and cosy atmosphere all in softwood. One suite has a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The other bedroom also has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, this one with a shower. The apartment also has at your disposal high quality linen and towels.

The apartment is fitted with air conditioned for heating during the winter even though Lisbon temperatures always remain mild in the winter-time. A parking space (one car) in the underground garage is also available (extra charge).

This is a truly perfect place for those who like contemporary living in the middle of a brand new city district or those who are in Lisbon on business!

Expo

The Parque das Nações (Park of the Nations) was the site of the Expo ‘98. This exhibition has been the engine of a complete remodelling of this former industrial area, and the result is astonishingly and positively surprising. It is true that the most prestigious architects of the world built here many superb buildings like the Oriente railway station, the 14km long Vasco da Gama Bridge and Tower or the Portugal Pavillion. But after the Expo, the area also kept its full activities and attractiveness for both locals and tourists with the Oceanarium of Lisbon, the Pavilhão Atlantico with major top star concerts and Casino Lisboa recently opened. It also became the new heart of the business city with plenty of headquarter offices, restaurants and shopping areas. Not to be too isolated from the historical part of the city, the Expo offers good transportation facilities with metro or bus links with other part of the capital.

    Very good Location. Close to transports (metro, train, bus) and very good shopping area with nice restaurants surrounding. Generally well furnished (Bedrooms with king size beds very confortable). Owner very friendly and helpful.
    During the summer the apartament is very hot, sometimes is imposible to be in. Air conditioning system exist but is not connected by the owner, that makes me think if i will turn back after my contract is over, at least during the summer is not a choice.
