Ideally located in the heart of this neighbourhood, the Duplex Remedios apartment will allow you to soak up the atmosphere and will also be the starting point of all your tourist activities while in Lisbon.

The apartment :



The Duplex Remedios apartment with its 90 sqm is located on the 2d and 3rd floor of an old house in one of the main streets of Alfama district, close to Largo do Chafariz de Dentro Square.
Comfortable with its wooden floors, many colours on the walls and décor elements contribute to the apartment´s joyful and harmonious atmosphere. You get in from a staircase into the modern kitchen area, being fully equipped to help you prepare your meal.
The living/dining area is bright and has two large windows where you have sweeping views over the Tagus River and the Alfama rooftops below.

Its simple but welcoming decor, its large comfortable orange sofa, its antique styled furniture, all invite you to relax. There is also a TV connected to cable and internet access.

Both comfortable and functional, the bedroom has a large 160cm bed, and the second colorfull bedroom is located under the roof with two single beds. Finally the bathroom, all in marble, has a bath, a toilet, a bidet and a washbasin.

In winter, electric heaters are provided.

So prepare for a pleasant stay in a very popular setting!

Alfama

If you come to Lisbon, you cannot miss Alfama, one of the most picturesque and historical medieval neighborhood, a mesh of small tiny streets, cul-de-sacs and stone stairs. Here lives a mixed population, people of all ages, “true” lisboners or lost tourists come to visit or to listen Fado. Like in many other places in Lisbon, you’ll find here also some of the most spectacular viewpoints of the Tagus river and the city. Here you can still find various forms of traditional commerce, as well as nice quaint little restaurants and bars. From the apartment you can walk to the majority of the most popular sightseeing destinations, such as the “Castelo de S. Jorge” the “Sé” or the “Baixa Pombalina”. For transportation, walk, or go down to Santa Apolónia the main train station and its recently opened metro station, or use the popular tram n°28 that zigzags through Alfama and pursues its trip up and down the hills of Lisbon. Although of restricted access by car, there are several parking facilities nearby.

    the superb view - the kindness of Rakel and Sandro - The atmospphere of the district Good surprise the bed was 180cm and not 140 as described
    The NOISE - even well renovated and with dubble glass window - these old buildings are made out of cardboard - the SMELL (cooking and smelly pipes) and very unfriendly neighbour - The STEEP steps (should be mentionned in the description) Not convenient for disabled and elderly people     Nicolle, France 14 May 2012

    The apartment was in a great location - Alfama is lovely and it wasn't too busy or touristy. There was more than enough space for 4 of us, and it was mostly quiet. It was clean and light and airy. We normally stay in hotels or b&bs and one of the things we liked about staying in the apartment is that it felt like you were part of the city and it's nice to have the independence to come and go whenever you want. We were able to check out late on the last day which was nice of the owners, as it saved us dragging our bags round all day!
    We couldn't get the oven to work, but didn't ask about this as we didn't try it until our last night, so it may just have been us not knowing how to use it properly.     Laura, United Kingdom 22 October 2011

    Lot's of room, tasteful design, views
