The apartment:
This apartment, located on the 3rd floor without elevator of a newly redone building, is spacious and very bright.
Completely open to small balconies thanks to its large glass doors, the living room, a friendly living area, unfolds onto a small dining room with a beautiful pristine white color round table.
The minimalist style of the room contributes to highlight the rooms decorative elements: on one of the walls a small patchwork mural in a lively palette of colors give a bright touch to a charming and delicate atmosphere. The sofa bed can accommodate two people, if you should so require it.
Like the rest of the house, the decor of the two bedrooms is clean and simple and each one of them has a double bed. One bedroom is a suite, with a modern bathroom with a bath, while the other bathroom has a shower.
A nice fully equipped kitchen, with all modern appliances, provides everything you need to cook your meals.
You'll also find heaters for the winter months and free Internet access.

Santa Catarina
In tourist guides, Santa Catarina area is famous for its viewpoint overlooking the Tagus river and the lower part of the city. But likewise the Bairro Alto next door, it is a typical neighbourhood with tiny streets, stairs and reckons. Here we are in the upper part of the city in a true historical area, also famous for its tramway 28 and adjacent to the entertaining Bairro Alto. Since it is a car transit restricted zone, you should enjoy the calmness of the day-to-day life of local citizens. But don’t be afraid of being isolated, the tramway is in the next street, the elevator Bica can also give you a ride to the lower part of the city; and 300 meters away starts the shopping zone of Chiado with the praça Luis Camões. Should you go the other direction, typical streets will lead you to the Parliament house in São Bento, a place for antiques shops.

O apartamento tem boa localização, há farmácia, padaria e mini mercado na região, o famoso bondinho (elétrico) 28 passa em frente e a principal estação de metro e comboios (Cais do Sodre) também é perto. O apartamento é muito ensolarado, tem ótima calefação, ótimos banheiros, ótima cozinha. Tudo funcionou. Tivemos mais de duas semanas maravilhosamente hospedados, e com certeza, quando voltar a Lisboa, vou procurar a FriendlyRentals, pois o atendimento e a atenção foram fantásticos. Agradeço de coração à recepção, e espero revê-los em breve. Tivemos muita sorte em escolher alugar o apartamento com vocês. Com certeza vou indicar para os meus amigos! Obrigado!
Como o edifício não tem elevador (como a maioria), só é preciso estar consciente que subir e descer com as malas ou compras não é a tarefa mais fácil, porém a localização e o atendimento dos amigos da FriendlyRentals compensa o esforço.

The quietness of the rooms and the kitchen, the air conditionaing (hard to find in Lisbon), the easy access to no. 28 tram and the Preço shop around the corner. The apartment was top-notch clean. I have to mention here that Carole's help for the first and last days was more then welcome and appreciated. Thanks a bunch Carole !
The vague sulfurated smell apparently comong from the sewers; it was all gone within 5 minutes when venting the apartment. The 3 storey-high access was not easy with a baby and a grandmother. More kitchen/oven equipment would have been appreciated.

Appartement was ruim en goed ingericht. Goed onderhouden en schoon en fris. Voor vier personen was het heel geschikt. Tram stopte bijna voor de deur dus dat was ideaal. Locatie was ook erg centraal.

The apartment is in a great location, within walking distance from Bairro Alto, Chiado, and the river. The property managers were great and when we had an issue with one of the bathrooms they had someone at the flat to fix it within 10 minutes!

The appartment was nicely decorated and really well equipped. Very comfortable and well thought out. The area is nice with simple restaurants and no tourists. Big difference with Bairro Alto and Rossio. We liked the Noo Bai Café and Taverna Ideal.

As we were 5, we have also to sleep in the living room. The sleeping rooms were perfect and very calm, but the living room very noisy from the traffic (impossible to sleep the windows open)

Uitstekend! Het was ruim genoeg voor ons vijven. Alle apparatuur en huisraad goed op orde, smaakvol ingericht. Heerlijk licht en ontzettend leuk dat trammetje 28 door de straat. Dichtbij eetgelegenheden, winkels, uitzichtpunten, centrum.

very good location in proximity of the tram stop, lots of space in the living room, everything clean and nice even if from Ikea...very good wireless internet in the living room
poor wireless in the kitchen (just kidding!), the only problem was an occasional unpleasant smell in the smaller toilet and also surface of the table in the living room is very suceptible to all colourings even a drop of tea/coffee can leave a nasty stain if not washed/removed immediately, please note, otherwise really all is quite perfect! easpecially for bigger family five or even six persons...

Ottima la posizione, con la fermata del tram proprio davanti casa, il che ha reso facile gli spostamenti. L'appartamento è luminoso, grande e comodo.
Il fatto che fosse al terzo piano e senza ascensore ha creato delle difficoltà soprattutto perché con noi c'èera un bambino di due anni e portare su e giù il passeggino non era facile!

Al apartemanto no le faltaba de nada, ni de equipamiento ni de detalles. Todo como nuevo y muy limpio. El tranvia 28 pasa por delante del portal y le coges a 10 m, genial para moverte por Lisboa
