This is one of those places where one immediately feels at ease, comfortable, at home. Facing the sun and the Tagus river, the Casa do Palacio apartment is blessed with natural light from side to side. The whole feel to the apartment is that of flowing space. The large windows allow for maximum light, while the living space is free of any partitions which makes it ease to move from the living room, to the dining area, to the kitchen without having to open a single door.

Wishing to keep some of the original characteristics of the apartment, the owner had all the wooden pieces stripped and exposed. They have been left in their original natural condition, touched only by the normal wear of time, in order to create a certain lively feel to this otherwise milky white space.

The apartment:

The Casa do Palacio can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, either family or friends. It is protected from the city noises and at the same time just a 10 minute walk from the lively neighborhoods of Docas and Santos, while facing the Palacio das Necessidades and its magnificent park.

The spacious and harmonious living space requires is decorated in a minimalist style: some main pieces, chosen with extreme care, dress the interiors. One spot holds a Le Corbusier black leather chaise longue with a nice feel, another spot holds family china and some objects brought back from travels to countries far away, some emblematic 20th century designer lamps... Last but not least, some modern art paintings hanging from the walls for that final touch.

Take the time to relax in the living room, comfortably settled in after a long day of walks through town, while enjoying the great view that will play out before you.

The large bedroom has a big 180 cm wide bed and an immense wooden wardrobe that takes up two sides of the bedroom wall. From the bedroom you will have direct access to the small bathroom with a shower and a view on the Palais and its gardens.

The second bedroom, smaller in size and colorful, has a pull-out bed that can be made up into one double bed.

Finally, the apartment also has a comfortable double sofa bed located in the living room that can accommodate two more guests.

There is another very small bathroom with a shower available.

For the winter months, there are independent radiators available.
