House with swimming pool in the beautiful countryside of the Alentejo region

This is not just a beautiful house, it is a "one of a kind" home in the Alentejo region which one discovers as if it were a treasure chest, amid an immense property of over 600 hectares of oak and pine trees, at the end of a mile long path that leaves the main road behind. This house is built in the best Alentejo traditional real estate properties architecture. Amidst a beautiful garden filled with flowers and scents: nature is all around. The pool is right at the foot of an ancient oak tree which overlooks the pine tree valley. The beautiful summer evenings can be fully enjoyed in the room specially prepared with a dining area and a barbeque adjacent to the main house. Inside, everything has a story to tell: be it the furniture, the old stone floors, the wooden floors, or the old chimney.

The area surrounding the villa:

From Lisbon, take the red bridge, on the other side of the Tagus river you are already in Alentejo. Midway between Lisbon and Setubal, the region of Azeitão offers various aspects worth a try for most people : wellknown wines under Terras do Sado name and Moscatel of Setubal, international level golf courses with their exclusive mansions. You are next to the Arrabida Mountain Natural Park with spectacular cliffs plunging into the sea and harbour villages like Sesimbra, a little further along, the huge white sand beaches of the Atlantic. The access to Lisbon is quick via motorway but a car is mandatory to get around in the area.

The villa:

Lovers of wide open spaces and peace and quiet will just adore this destination! Here you will have the feeling of what the land is like beyond the Tagus river and from the top of your own small hill you will have a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. The garden will delight the children who will be able to play unrestrained in the open air. On the ground floor you will find a den like area with the TV, a Hi-Fi system, a bridge table and on the other end, a relaxing area around the fireplace. The dining room is spaciously built around a magnificent antique mahogany table and some family furniture. The country style kitchen has all the necessary modern appliances while the decor reminds guests of old time kitchens: an old table and benches worn out by the years, old local ceramics, etc. On this same floor there are four bedrooms, two with a double bed, three with single beds and three bathrooms with either shower or bath. On the first floor, a large suite with two single beds, an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, a small study/dressing room, and a view over the gently shaded terrace overlooking the valley.

During the summer months the house remains cool and fresh while in the winter time central heating (at an extra fee) and the fireplace will provide all the necessary warmth and comfort.

This great house can accommodate a family or a group of friends from 4 to 12 people for an unforgettable vacation in the region of Alentejo, just 35km from Lisbon.
