Live a special experience in this paradise of miniature and detail

How can you not be astonished by this extraordinary apartment which combines luxury and comfort in perfect harmony! It is like being inside a little museum! The Bonaparte is located on the second floor of a nice pink coloured building of the 19th century, at the top of the Bairro Alto hill. An opportunity to live like a “Lisboeta” inside the very centre of the historical Lisbon, the relaxing quietness of its situation and its comfort, this is what this superb apartment has to offer you and much more to help you have a fantastic holiday.

The apartment:

The Bonaparte apartment is a perfect start for a romantic trip for two in Lisbon. Its antagonistic decoration varies between city and countryside, ancient and modern, bright and dark and the combination works perfectly as you will discover. Far from being impersonal, it expresses experiences of a lifetime through many objects with history, memories and nice figurative frescoes on the walls. The bedroom is spacious with a particular decorative hunting theme: frescoes and objects hung on the walls. It features a wood sculptured double bed with a set of night tables in the same style. Two armchairs invite you to take a relaxing moment for reading or thinking in the intimacy of this bedroom. The bright and spacious bathroom with a large shower, washbasin and toilet, all in ochre marble stone with a lovely azulejos tile panel - so typically Portuguese!

The dining room is warm and cosy with a nice table with four Chinese style chairs in dark wood. Here also you have a comfortable sofa in warm colours and light colour armchairs illuminating the room. The yellow and black living room is the pearl of this classical apartment. The curtains and objects hanging on the walls give the room all its character : engraved plates, sculptures, portraits and paintings…There is also a large sofa and armchairs. The kitchen corner is simple and very modern with all electric appliance and kitchenware you would need to cook light meals.

The Bonaparte apartment is equipped with central heating, TV, DVD, stereo and WIFI internet.

Whether you are in Lisbon for leisure of for business, the Bonaparte apartment, will offer you the best comfort for your stay, the ideal location for your walkabouts and the typical charm of Lisbon.

The space was beautiful and extremely convenient to both the conference that I was in town for and the sights of Lisbon.

The location is really good, in a very central, colourful and agreeable part of Lisbon; the interior decoration is surprisingly rich and in good taste; there were particularly courteous details as the aguardente of really high quality, as well as the rosé left for us to taste and use - we consedered that a real touch of class.
The fact that there is no oven and the fact that the lift leaves one half way between floors, which makes it uncomfortable when towing one's heavy luggage.

The size of the apartment and its 'old feel'. It is well decorated and furniture are beautiful.

The apartment is exquisitely furnished with impeccable taste and the location is right in the middle of the action in Bairro Alto which is walking distance to the downtown area! The kitchen is not fully equipped but has the necessary appliances. The host Vincent is a real delight and will ensure that you have a pleasant stay. We definitely recommend it! Friendly Rentals also offered professional service.
The windows were somewhat obstructed since there was work on the outside of building that should of been completed before we arrived...but it is Portugal! The host and beauty of the apartment more than made up for it though.

Comfortable and full of character.  Excellent location although thanks for elevator Gloria.
Lack of a hair dryer.  Door locks a little difficult for a new user.

Fabulous, fabulous apartment. Places like this are the reason why one should never, ever stay in hotels! Picture don't do this lovely place justice. After a week at Bonaparte, we're thinking of re-decorating portions of our brownstone in New York City... :) Great artwork and antiques, excellent location, incredibly welcoming and gracious host. Thank you, Vincent! This apartment will forever be our first choice... whenever we come back to Lisbon... E. & A.
