In the Trigueiros Apartment, you are in the very heart of Lisbon, in a labyrinth of small streets and stairs, between the Baixa Pombalina and the São Jorge Castle, the most visited monument in Portugal.

The area surrounding the apartment:

The neighborhood of Costa do Castelo features some of the most spectacular viewpoints of Lisbon. If you simply stroll around for a quick 30 minute walk, you will have views over most of the city and the Tagus river. Should you go up to the terraces of the São Jorge Castle, Lisbon will lie underneath at your feet. From here, turn towards the ocean and spend hours just watching the perfet geometry of the Baixa Pombalina, see the people moving among the narrow streets going up the Chiado to Bairro Alto. The neighbourhood is very typical, popular even with tiny groceries and other shops, its old persons sitting at their doorstep and giving you their warm welcome in Portuguese ! From the Trigueiros apartment, you will be a few stairs away from the Praça da Figueira, “twin” square of Praça do Rossio in the Baixa where you’ll find a very busy shopping area with typical Portuguese shops standing next to those with the newest brands of the market.

The apartment:

The Trigueiros apartment is situated in the heart of a medieval zone with small streets and where the stairs coming from the Baixa are going up to the castle São Jorge. The flat is on the 3rd floor of a renovated building. Its surface area is 70 m2 and it can accommodate 4 persons.

It has a double bedroom, a complete bathroom with tub and a large, modern and all equipped kitchen where you will enjoy taking your meals. The decoration of the living room is a bit sophisticated with a sofa bed and adjacent is another very bright room which can be used like a desk with another sofa bed. You will appreciate the air conditionning that can be used as a heating during the winter.

The apartement is within a car-restricted area. If you come by car you will only have a foot access and must park your car outside the area.

From the apartment you will enjoy the view on the trigueiros square and on the old houses roofs around.

The Miradouro of Santa Luzia, just in front of Largo das Portas do Sol is only a few hundreds of meters away, so is the sector of Alfama in its vicinity of the Tagus. In the Baixa, a 5 minute walk from here, you’ll find a very busy shopping area where typical portuguese shops stand next to those with the newest brands of the market.

    Spacios, modern, quiet & good location. Great views.Overall very happy with appartment.
    Steps & stairs for luggage carrying. Wiring a bit dodgy, faulty light sockets & bulbs gone. faulty fan in bathroom. Washing from last occupants had to be put away.A bit musty.
