The area surrounding the apartment:

Bairro Alto is the best known part of Lisbon. Everybody has heard or read of this strange area, located at the top of one of the seven hills of Lisbon. Forming a grid of narrow streets, the part of the city is famous for being a nightlife hot spot, starting its activity early with shopping in Portuguese fashion designers shops and galleries, continuing with any type of restaurants and finally at dark with numerous bars, discotecas or Fado houses full of people until the following morning. The rest of Lisbon is also so close ! The Bairro Alto has a very central position, it is then so easy to walk to Chiado and go downstairs to Rossio and Baixa or with the Gloria funicular.

The apartment:

The Penthouse Apartment is located on the top floor (no lift) of a nicely renovated house. On every floor of this building you also find another nice lodging in Bairro Alto. But the 4th floor has a special advantage, there is a terrace of ten square meters with views over the neighbour roofs and the São Jorge castle in the back. A perfect place to sunbath during the day or to have a drink at night.

The only main room of the flat is organised in a comfortable and cosy living room, spacious and sunny, all in black and white furniture. It will be a perfect fit for a couple with a double bed pulled out from the wall to maximise space during the day. The kitchen is modern and functional with a dining corner. You’ll like the glamorous style, especially when it comes with such an excellent level of equipements : Home Cinema, DVD, large TV set, WIFI internet and air conditioned for summer and winter. Last but not least the bathroom has an extra large shower with a nice poster of a “small black duck” !
