The area surrounding the apartment:

The neighborhood of Costa do Castelo features some of the most spectacular viewpoints of Lisbon. If you simply stroll around for a quick 30 minute walk, you will have views over most of the city and the Tagus river. Should you go up to the terraces of the São Jorge Castle, Lisbon will lie underneath at your feet. From here, turn towards the ocean and spend hours just watching the perfet geometry of the Baixa Pombalina, see the people moving among the narrow streets going up the Chiado to Bairro Alto. The neighbourhood is very typical, popular even with tiny groceries and other shops, its old persons sitting at their doorstep and giving you their warm welcome in Portuguese ! From the Largo da Rosa apartment, you will be a few stairs away from the Praça da Figueira, “twin” square of Praça do Rossio in the Baixa where you’ll find a very busy shopping area with typical Portuguese shops standing next to those with the newest brands of the market.

The apartment:

The Largo da Rosa apartment is situated right in the middle of those stairs coming form the Baixa and going up to the castle São Jorge. The duplex flat is on the 2nd floor and has been completely remodelled to offer the best modern comfort inside this small 17th century house.
The apartment is warmly decorated, on the walls : the paintings by the owner himself. Sit on the banks by the windows and enjoy the views over the neighbour’s roofs. The living room is bright and large with a kitchen corner, fully equipped with modern appliances and a shower bathroom.
A central stair leads you to the upper level and its bedroom under the roof, with two single beds and a large modern bathroom with tub. A single sofa bed can accommodate a third person. There is accommodation for a party of 3 in this charming pied-à-terre hidden in the streets of old Lisbon.
