Shopping

There are many business that have settled in our city, offering special deals on fashion, accessories, crafts and more... One thing is clear, forget the car because the best shopping options are in the center and the center has a limited use for private vehicles.
The most famous streets known for their excellent shopping are: Recogidas, Mesones, Zacatín..

Granada has also traditional neighborhood markets in which essentially fruit, vegetables, clothing or footwear are offered. The most popular are Almanjayar (Sunday morning), Zaidín (Saturday morning) and Chana (Wednesday morning). They're very popular and often turn people from different social strata.

Also popular are the medicinal and aromatic herb stands that are near the Cathedral.

The craft markets are not typically found at street stands, except some special markets such as The Medieval, that is usually installed in the month of October, or on the long weekend of the Pilar near the Cathedral, or the Christmas market that is mounted on Bib -Rambla and where traditional products according the time are exhibited.

There are also municipal markets in which a wide and nutritious selection of fish, meats, fruits and vegetables are offered. The largest is the Market San Agustin, located near the Gran Via and the second largest, Merca 80, is in the populous district of Zaidín, where you can also find fruit, vegetables, meats and fresh fish or sweets and pastries of high quality.

For those attracted by the antiques there is also a large number of shops located in the famous Elvira street, offering interesting pieces in furniture, painting or decorative pieces of great value.

The areas where you can find a large sample of craft shops are Alcaicería, Gomérez slope, Realejo and Albayzin.

The Grenadian cuisine is enormously rich, with a mixture of different contributions such as the Moorish and Jewish.
