This apartment is located in one of the main avenues in the historical Albayzin quarter. It is a traditional Albayzin house composed of three floors, with interior elevator and a private parking. Without a doubt it will make your stay in Granada a delightful experience b>
Situated in the Albayzin quarter, declared as World Heritage by UNESCO in 1984, it has capacity for up to 5 people plus a possible extra bed.
The area surrounding the apartment:
Central area, less than 10 minutes walk from Plaza Nueva, which is the starting point for the beautiful walk up to the Alhambra by the picturesque Cuesta de Gomerez and through the leafy forrest.
With everything you can possibly need to hand, the most traditional restaurants and tapas bars nearby, as well as businesses of all kinds, including many different craft shops.
The area itself which surrounds the apartment is a body of inter-connecting narrow cobbled streets where you can wander around aimlessly for hours imagining how it was back in Moorish times. Remember that access by car is somewhat difficult because of the entry restrictions and narrow streets. We recommend entry only with small cars driven by skilled drivers. In other areas of the city, there are public parking lots where you can leave your vehicle.
The Apartment:
This apartment has three floors, a great choice for those who enjoy privacy and traveling in small groups to Granada.
On the ground floor you have access to the parking and one of the two single bedrooms. On the second floor, the main bathroom, the double bedroom with a double bed and the third bedroom with a single bed, all with spacious wardrobes for the guests belongings. Using the stairs or the private elevator of the apartment, we access the third floor where we have the common area, a large living room, the perfect place for guests to sit back and relax, after a day of city adventures, while watching TV or planning visits for the following day. A small hallway allows us to access the kitchen, which is fully equipped, as well to the guest toilet for this area.
With a totally typical Granada design, this house is a comfortable place for families and small groups, in the most beautiful area of the city.

Albaycin
Granada’s ancient Muslim quarter. The origin of modern Granada, under Iberian and later Roman rule, the Albayzin owes its form to the Arab age, during which it became residence to kings and the royal court, as much during the Ziri emirate as on occasion during the Nazari age..
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1989, it is, in itself, a monument.
Many different people have lived in its streets and thus have given this quarter an interesting cultural fusion.
On the route through this Granada neighbourhood we will come across the churches of San Cristóbal and San Bartolomé, and their respective wells. These are not the only ones we will find; there is also the Well of San Luis and the well in the plaza del Salvador, located at the beginning of the Cuesta de Chapiz. We will also see the wells of las Tomasas and el Rey, which is the oldest in all of Granada. The Albayzin wall hails from the Nazari age. It was erected in the second half of the 14th century to defend the neighbourhoods on the San Cristóbal hill – the Albayzin and the AlbaydaIba. It runs from the Puerta de Guadix, the end of the modern day Paseo de los Tristes, passing through San Miguel Alto, the Fajalauza gateway, Postigo de San Lorenzo until reaching the Puerta de Elvira. We will also find the Casa Morisca de Yanguas and the churches of el Salvador, built in the Mudejar style in the 16th century on top of the old Mezquita Mayor, the main mosque of the Albayzin. We will finish the route with the Torreón and the Aljibe de Bibalbonud, the Mirador de San Nicolás and the Puerta de Hizna Román.
Visiting the Albayzin quarter is a one-of-a-kind experience that only Granada could offer you, where every corner tells a tale of history, poetry and art… It is the only place in the world that has such impressive views of the Alhambra.
