The apartment:
Located on the main floor of a splendid building, without elevator access (there are 22 steps to reach the apartment), in the heart of Florence, the Lorenzo I apartment will undoubtedly give you the thrill of feeling completely immersed in the history of the city which is considered to be the crib of the Italian Renaissance. Baroque furnishings and gorgeous period details placed alongside more modern and contemporary elements create a delightful equilibrium between past history and the present day, whilst containing all the relevant comforts and functionality needs.
The rooms are fully renovated, and feature ceilings with elegant 19th century pictorial décor and cosy wooden floors, with some original designer solutions which contribute towards highlighting the personality of the rooms.
The living-room is large, split up into a lounge area with a sofa bed (for the 3rd and 4th guests), armchairs and a built-in fireplace, and a dining area with a table and chairs, and a kitchen area separated from the main room by a curvilinear wall. The bedroom is very romantic and dreamy, with a canopy double bed. A small corridor with a built-in wardrobe leads to a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a bathtub.
Note that the Lorenzo I apartment is in the same building as the Lorenzo II, Lorenzo III, Lorenzo IV and Lorenzo V apartments and therefore allows for a large group of people to spend their holidays together whilst still enjoying moments of total privacy.

San Lorenzo
A few blocks from the train station and the Duomo lies the San Lorenzo district, the city’s main market area, with scores of stalls encircling a vast food hall. One of the most conveniently located neighborhoods in town, it will envelope you with its lively, vibrant and multicultural atmosphere. Ten minutes towards the Arno and you are right in the middle of town where there is the Duomo, the best shops, bars and clubs. Ten minutes walking towards the hills and you are in quiet area with local shops, the Fortezza del Basso, splendid example of Renaissance architecture, and the Giardino dei Semplici, Florence’s botanical garden.
The centerpiece of this Florence neighborhood is the Basilica di San Lorenzo, one of the largest churches in the city which contains works of Brunelleschi and Michelangelo. Attached to the church is another key sight: the Cappelle Medicee (Medici Chapels) where some members of the Medici family are buried. The Medici also accounts for the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi with its exquisite fresco-covered chapel.
In this area you can also find a wide choice of inexpensive cafes and restaurants thanks to the presence of the San Lorenzo market which provides a focus for cheap trattorias and bars aimed at shoppers and market traders.
