Welcoming, modern and functional apartment next to Piazzale Michelangelo
The Leo apartment is located on Florence's left bank, along the Arno. From here you can walk up the steep “Costa San Giorgio” climb or take the very pleasant 19th century step path “delle Rampe”. This route will lead you around some of the monumental collections of great artistic worth, and to the nooks and crannies of a selection of the most ancient parts of Florence. Perfect for a couple or a small family wishing to get to know the true soul of the city.
The apartment:
The Leo apartment is on the 1st floor of a building without elevator access (15 steps). Refurbished with the utmost care and attention placed on use of space, the apartment is characterised by its modern functional style and also by a homely and welcoming atmosphere.
The apartment's walls are painted in light colours and the floors are dark hardwood throughout, creating a lovely visual chromatic effect.
The apartment has a living/dining room with a dining table and chairs, a sofa bed that can sleep the 3rd and 4th guest (140 X 190), a coffee table and TV set. A screen separates this area from the kitchen area, which is compact but very functional and has access to an accommodating and well equipped terrace.
The bedroom is modern and welcoming and has a large double bed, and in the alcove area guests have practical storage space for clothing.
The bathroom is fresh and cheerful and has a comfortable shower.
The Leo apartment will prompt you to leave behind, just for once, the frantic bustle of modern life to fully enjoy a fantastic holiday in Florence.
S. Niccolò
This lively, busy neighbourhood in Florence is characterised by small local restaurants serving traditional food and good wine, which make it one of the most popular meeting places for young locals.
Located on the left bank of the River Arno, it is famous for the Porta San Niccolò, an old tower built to defend the city, and the panoramic views over some of the city’s major historical and artistic sights.
The narrow, winding streets that follow the river lead to the Piazzale Michelangelo and Forte Belvedere up the historical Le Rampe flight of steps.
Forte Belvedere is a fort on the top of Boboli hill and Piazzale Michelangelo is a square and viewpoint with spectacular views over the whole city and its romantic hills.
Two minutes away from Piazzale Michelangelo, a magnificent flight of steps leads to the spectacular church of San Miniato. Be sure not to miss the famous Giardino delle Rose [Rose Gardens], open all year round, and the Giardino dell’Iris [Iris Gardens], open only in May.
All this and much more, only a few metres from the Ponte Vecchio and a few minutes’ walk from the top attractions in the historic city centre.
