The apartment:
This apartment is located on the 4rd floor without elevator access (there are 80 steps to the apartment) of a historic building in central Florence. The Parsifal apartment occupies a loft-like space with a mezzanine level (approximately 75sqm) and has parquet floors and a magnificent and evocative antique wooden ceiling.
The apartment welcomes you into a large living space divided into distinctly different areas: a lounge area with sofa that converts into a double bed for the 3rd and 4th guest, a piano and a TV, a dining area with a wooden table and chairs, and an original, designer open plan kitchen area. On this same floor is the bathroom, separated from the rest of the apartment by a stylish glass brick wall, and containing a large, comfortable bathtub. A wooden staircase leads up to the mezzanine sleeping area which houses a double bed, a single bed for the 5th guest, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers in which to store your personal belongings. The apartment has independent heating, air conditioning, washing machine and dishwasher. If you want to plunge into Florence's vibrant lifestyle whilst indulging in stylish, comfortable accommodation, then the Parsifal apartment is the perfect choice for you!

The neighborhood that surrounds the Duomo constitutes the very heart of the historical city center and the area has probably one of the highest concentrations of art per square meter on the whole planet: churches, statues, museums, towers, and historical buildings fill every corner of every street. You can't miss Brunelleschi's magnificent dome atop the rosy marble Cathedral.
If you stay here, you're in the vicinity of practically everything: the Uffizi Museums, Palazzo della Signoria, Palazzo Davanzati, Galleria dell’Accademia, Ponte Vecchio. If you are in need of a break after wondering around this architectural and artistic marvels, you can recharge your batteries at one of the cafés on nearby Piazza della Repubblica.
The streets surrounding the Duomo cater to visitors, with fine dining and exclusive shopping. The top Italian fashion houses are located along Via Tornabuoni , with several others on Via Calzaiuoli and Via del Corso. Souvenir shops abound, as do street performers and caricature artists.
This area is, understandably, the central meeting point and the tourist hub of the city. Probably at night, when the tourist groups disappear, you can better appreciate the magical atmosphere of the most romantic heart of pre-Renaissance Florence.

The apartment was in a great location and very well kitted out with plenty of additional sheets, towels etc. You could literally walk to all of the main attractions. Although it was in the centre it was quiet so no problems being kept awake by the late night attractions. Plenty of space too. Would definately book this apartment again.
