Located on the 2nd floor of a charming old building with NO elevator (there are about 30 steps to reach the apartment), the MASCAGNI apartment is an elegant and unique space for our visitor to Florence. The beautiful wood floor and the elegant furnishings create a very warm and special atmosphere.
The space of this one bedroom apartment has been utilized to its maximum potential. In the living room you can find a comfortable sofa and a dining table with two chairs. The bedroom features an elegant double bed and a fitted cupboard for guests’ belongings. The small en suite-bathroom comes with a shower unit and fresh towels ready for use upon arrival. Finally a separate kitchen complete the apartment and it is is fully equipped to ensure the guests the possibility to prepare any kind of meal should they wish to

San Lorenzo
A few blocks from the train station and the Duomo lies the San Lorenzo district, the city’s main market area, with scores of stalls encircling a vast food hall. One of the most conveniently located neighborhoods in town, it will envelope you with its lively, vibrant and multicultural atmosphere. Ten minutes towards the Arno and you are right in the middle of town where there is the Duomo, the best shops, bars and clubs. Ten minutes walking towards the hills and you are in quiet area with local shops, the Fortezza del Basso, splendid example of Renaissance architecture, and the Giardino dei Semplici, Florence’s botanical garden.
The centerpiece of this Florence neighborhood is the Basilica di San Lorenzo, one of the largest churches in the city which contains works of Brunelleschi and Michelangelo. Attached to the church is another key sight: the Cappelle Medicee (Medici Chapels) where some members of the Medici family are buried. The Medici also accounts for the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi with its exquisite fresco-covered chapel.
In this area you can also find a wide choice of inexpensive cafes and restaurants thanks to the presence of the San Lorenzo market which provides a focus for cheap trattorias and bars aimed at shoppers and market traders.

The apartment was very clean & perfect for 2 people. Good size bathroom equipped with all amenities. 10 minute walk to train station & most major sights/many restaurants. Air conditioning was a blessing! Would definitely stay here again.

Everything! The apartment was completely furnished and they even have the basic household items that we need everyday (like toiletries, detergent, olive oil, coffee, sugar, salt, pasta sauce). We were amazed with how it was designed to maximize whatever small space it has and turn it into a cozy and lovely apartment. The person who welcomed us was also very friendly and helpful.
