The Ribes apartment is extremly spacious and comfomrtable and located in the Eixample area; this apartment is a great choice for your visit to Barcelona. The open plan style apartment has a modern and very stylish look and feel to it. The hardwood floor and the white walls throughout the apartment lend to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A holiday stay in this exclusive accommodation is one not to be missed.
The area surrounding the apartment:
The Ribes apartment is situated a 10-12 minutes' walk from the "old city". The area is residential and very pleasant with most sights within easy walking distance. The Ronda San Pere begins approximately four blocks from the apartment and takes you right to Plaça Catalunya, the nerve centre of the city. From this plaza you can access the beginning of La Rambla which is a definite must for the visitor to Barcelona: the street performers, outdoor cafés and the famous La Boqueria food market really should not be missed.
Near Plaça Catalunya you will aslo find the famous Gothic Quarter and the very trendy El Borne area; the Gothic Quarter contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. It is a maze of interconnecting dark streets linking with squares, and there are plenty of cafés and bars. The Paseo del Born in El Borne is 50 meters from the amazing gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and the port.

The Ribes apartment building is a great place to stay while visiting Barcelona.. The living and dining area of the apartment is one space and comes with a comfotable and large sofa for the guests to sit back in and relax after a hard day of sightseeing or shopping!!!! This spacious area also ecompasses the dining table and chairs where the guests can enjoy any kind of meal, should they decide to cook in the great kitchen...
The kitchen of the Ribes apartment is wonderful, it comes fully equipped with all the modcons to ensure the guests have a hassle free stay....
This apartment has two great bedrooms; the main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom comes with two single beds. Each bedroom comes with ample wardrobe space for the guests belongings...
The bathroom in this great apartment does not disappoint; it has a wonderful, modern shower unit, sink, toilet, etc and comes with fresh towels ready for use upon arrival....

Born
El Born is one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in Barcelona and has become even more so over the last few years, combining a perfect balance between historical treasures, culture and “coolness”; an area very much sought after by the locals as well as the visitors. This area also boasts some of the highest property prices in the city …. This wonderful neighbourhood is full of many great bars, cafes, restaurants and is especially great for one of a kind boutiques as well as other, very well known clothing brands, such as Custo. The Born area is in such a great location, close to the Old Port and the beach, it’s surrounded by all the other cool and interesting places in Barcelona such as Barrio Gotico, Barceloneta, Old Port and Via Laietana. The Park Ciutadella is also a quick 5 minute walk from this area, perfect for a long stroll after a lovely lunch in one of the many terraces the Born has to offer.
A main feature of this great area is the wonderful basilica Santa Maria del Mar, right in front of this magnificent landmark, Barcelona’s guests can enjoy tapas and wine and watch the world go by…Other spots not to miss include Paseo del Born which is full of great bars and makes this area a lively night spot; not far from here is the Picasso museum….. The Born also has it’s own market, Santa Catarina with it’s funky, bright coloured roof. And finally not to be forgotten is the fantastic Palau de la Musica, which is possibly the most dazzling work of modernist architecture present in Barcelona….

Der Service und die freundliche Unterstützung vor Ort . Apartment war sehr sauber und ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen.Es liegt sehr zentral mitten in Barcelona ,sehenswete Gebäude sind schnell zu Fuss erreichbar . Bustransfer zum Flughafen ca.400m von Friendlyrentals am plaza de Catalunya mit AEROBUS .1 fahrt 5.30€.

Locality and ease of access to the whole City whether for walking or using public transport. Spacious, very quiet and peaceful considering it is a central city location. Comfortable furniture. Supermarkets etc just a couple of minutes walk. Secure access to the Building (two locked doors). Kitchen well equipped. Air conditioning. All the office staff were extremely helpful, polite and spoke very good English which makes a great start to the holiday especially as our Spanish language skills are appalling.

Het appartement Carrer De Ribes is ons super bevallen. Heel ruim, proper en volledig uitgerust. Het was iedere dag een verademing om "thuis" te komen. Door de goede ligging dicht bij een metro halte ben je meteen waar je moet zijn. Het is een rustige buurt. Zowel een aanrader voor jonge mensen als gezinnen.

I enjoyed the size of the apartment and that it was within about 30 minutes' walk to beaches, city sights, saunas etc, and with Metro by the front door. And apart from the construction works being conducted for Arc de Triomf Metro, it was very quiet. Great and fast internet connection. Comfortable bed and furnishings - although the loose covers on sofas are in need of a serious washing ... GREAT security of buildings' front doors and apartment door. Hope to be back in 2011. I liked the lovely decoration, the cleanliness and great central location of the apartment (just outside the metro station and the central bus station where the buses from Girona arrive). It was also a great plus to have airconditioning available, as the weather was a lot warmer then what we are used to. Some details as the turtle collection and some books added to the special cosy atmosphere of the place.

uitstekende ligging nabij het busstation en toch rustig. ruim appartement met voldoende keukengerei. grote zitkamer, die smaakvol ingericht is. ruime slaapkamers en een prachtige inloopkast. De beschrijving op internet doet geen recht aan het appartement. Meer nadruk leggen op de ligging en de mogelijkheid van internet.
