The Manuela apartment is situated in the heart of the Borne which is the trendy and upbeat part of the Old Town in Barcelona. It lays right next to the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. This is the oldest part of the city and the site chosen by the Romans during the Augustus Empire (27 to 14 B.C.) to found a new colony. The Barrio Gótico contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. It is a maze of interconnecting dark streets linking with squares, and there are plenty of cafés and bars. The apartment itself is steps from Paseo del Born which in turn is 50 meters from the amazing gothic church Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and the port. The street which the Manuela apartment is on has lots of designer and artisan shops and boutiques as well as a wonderful italian deli, and an ethnic asian furniture shop.

The apartment itself is located on the fourth floor with no elevator so be prepared for a bit of a hike upstairs. When you enter the apartment you will be glad of the open plan layout and the distinct features like the exposed walls and authentic wood ceilings. Guests can relax after a day of adventuring through the narrow cobbled stone lanes of the old town. The bedroom section has a large wrought iron double bed with large white cotton curtains which can be pulled across for privacy. The living room contains a comfortable double pullout sofabed with writing desk and entertainment center. The kitchen is fully equipped with vitroceramic counter tops and all the commonplace items like oven, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, coffee machine, fridge and so on.
