The Botero apartment is situated right in the heart of the old town in Barcelona. This is the area that fell within the medieval walls and, until 150 years ago, made up the entire city of Barcelona. The area that surrounds the apartment is a body of interconnecting narrow cobble stoned streets where you can potter around for hours and explore the shops and restaurants. Only a short walk from the apartment you will find the superb food and produce market called La Boqueria. Areas of interest within walking distance from the apartment are the famous Las Ramblas, the Liceu opera house, the Barcelona City Hall in Placa Jaume, the grandiose Gothic Cathedral, the remains of the old Roman Walls along with many more treats from Barcelona's ancient and medieval past.

The apartment:

The Botero apartment has been completely renovated and modernized while carefully conserving the original charm of its 19th century architecture. This 1st floor apartment (with no elevator) is perfect for a couple, a couple with a child or two, or two couples. The bedroom contains a queen sized bed and living area of the apartment provides the guests with a pullout sofa for two additional persons. The Botero apartment is complete with air-conditioning and heating units.

The living room and kitchen are housed in the same room as you enter into the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker hob and oven, fridge, washing machine, iron and all the comforts of home. The eating area of the apartment seats four persons. Beautiful french doors and shutter windows open out onto the bustling street below but when closed the apartment is surprisingly quiet. The bathroom in the apartment has been newly renovated with shower and modern glass design sink. The closet space is provided in the bedroom of the apartment. Bed linens, bathroom paper and clean towels are all provided.
