The Tosca Apartment in Barcelona

The apartment is in a completely renovated building containing 4 almost identical apartments. The building was renovated in 2004 and the end result is 4 lovely 1 bedroom apartments suitable for vacacion or business rentals. The feel is of a cool and bright space where it is easy to relax and take it easy.

The area surrounding the apartment:

The apartment is situated right in the centre of Barcelona, literally minutes' walk from the main Square or Plaça called Plaça Catalunya, the famous Las Ramblas, the old town or Gothic Quarter and Borne. The area itself which surrounds the apartment is a body of interconnecting narrow cobble stoned streets where you can wander around aimlessly for hours imagining how it was back in medieval times. The closest point of interest to the apartment is the Palau de la Música which is possibly the most dazzling work of modernist architecture present in Barcelona. This is located a mere 50 meters from the apartment building. Other areas of interest within walking distance from the apartment are the famous Las Ramblas, the Liceu opera house, the Barcelona City Hall on Plaça Jaume, the grandiose Gothic Cathedral which is one block from the apartment as well as the remains of the old Roman Walls coupled with many more treats from Barcelona's ancient and medieval past.

The apartment:

This lovely 1 bedroom apartment is on the 1st floor of a recently renovated building with elevator and can accommodate up to 4 guests.

The open plan living-dining-kitchen area is bright and has large windows which allow lots of sunlight to stream in. The sofa converts into a double bed for the third and fourth guests. There is a TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. The dining table and 4 chairs can comfortably seat all of the guests should you choose to eat in instead of choosing from one of the many fantastic restaurants which surround you. The kitchen comes equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, combination washer/dryer, pots and pans, kettle, toaster, etc...

The bedroom has a double bed and a lovely antique wardrobe. There is also access to a very small balcony where you can stand and watch the world go by below. In the hallway leading to the bedroom there is wardrobe space where the third and fourth guests can store their belongings.

The bathroom comes complete with bath/shower, toilet and washbasin. Fresh towels are provided for guests on arrival.

The apartment has air-conditioning (hot and cold) throughout to make your stay enjoyable whatever the season and there is wireless internet for the business traveller or for catching up with family back home.

Guests from this building will have the use of a communal roof terrace during the summer months.
